Write that Thank You email! 📩 It baffles me every time that people don't think of thanking their interviewers after the interview. Maybe times have changed but... all it takes is a simple email that is not born out of formality. Don't procrastinate. That email has a shelf life of 18-24 hours. Sending it anytime later than that is as good as not sending it. I stick by this guideline after years of observing my clients' results. That's why I never hesitate to advise and coach my clients to do so. Some resisted but those who did achieved better outcomes. The fact is job offers are not guaranteed with a thank you email, but there is massive advantage in sending it. It reflects gratefulness, a positive mentality and your EQ. The best result comes from those who send the email without any reminders from me. These are the ones who demonstrate a powerful mentality of progress. I would smile because I know they would get the job offer. p.s. It takes 5 minutes to write a thank you email. The ROI is a probable 20% increase in salary. Why not❔ #thankyouemail #interviewtips #coaching

THIS COULD BE THE REASON YOU KEEP GETTING REJECTION EMAILS! So for everytime you apply for a job it is either you get a rejection email or you get no response at all, I have carefully listed the possible reasons here, be sure to take the right action after reading. 1. YOU APPEAR DESPERATE: we know that you need a job, however you don't have to appear like a show it to your employer. The truth is, people can smell desperation from the way you write or present yourself at an interview. 2. YOU SENT AN EMAIL WITHOUT A BODY: So after seeing an advert for a job placement, you were asked to submit your CV to an email address, then you immediately sent your CV without writing a word in the body of the email! Stop doing that! This is why I always advise my client to have a well written cover letter which they can use as the body of their email when sending out their CV. 3. YOU DON'T HAVE ANY VALUE TO OFFER: so all that you are particular about is how you will get the job and pay your own bills without asking yourself what value am I bringing to the organization if I am employed. You need to think outside the box and present yourself to the employer as a valuable asset that they will miss if you're not being hired. 4. YOU LACK THE RIGHT SKILLS NEEDED FOR THE JOB: applying for jobs at random is good but presenting yourself as the right man for the job is equally important which is why you must make necessary investment in getting a professional CV. 5. YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION YOU'RE APPLYING TO: before showing up for an interview be sure to make some research about the organization, get to know them this way you're well able to speak to the mind of the interviewer when the opportunity arise. A resume has just 30 seconds to impress. This is the average time a recruiter spends to determine if they will read more. If your goal is to get interviews, that 30 sec glance needs to turn into a 3 min review. Here are some tips to help: Forget listing a “career objective" and a fluffy cover page. These just eat up screening time and waste prime real estate space. Instead, put together a “Summary of Skills” with 5-8 bullets and make each one count. The first few bullets should be hard skills that highlight years of experience, area of speciality, leadership experience, and key or niche skills. Include any notable achievements, awards, and over performance. And make sure to include metrics! The next bullets should highlight soft skills – e.g. problem solving, adaptability, collaboration - and finish with education and technical skills. Proofread and proofread again! If you claim to have great attention to detail but have spelling errors, you will be easily screened out. And don’t forget your LinkedIn profile needs to match up with your resume! I've included additional tips on how to improve your LinkedIn profile below. Good luck! #resumetips #sales #jobseekers

Here are 5 reasons you definitely shouldn't pick me to do your CV: 🍦You'll be overwhelmed by choice with all the interviews and job offers you'll get. Not great for indecisive people! 🍦You'll have to do some homework, part of my process is completing a form. People find it boosts their confidence and gets them thinking about all the things they can do and have achieved. Especially when we chat it through on a call. 🍦It's not free. You'll likely end up with a director's or consultancy role which is worth 100 times what you paid me, but that initial investment isn't small. 🍦Sometimes I swear, talk about pole and go off on tangents during our chats, so you'll probably enjoy the conversations. What a drag. 🍦I do too much. I can help with interview coaching cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, content and strategy, and I have a huge network of incredible people incl. recruiters I can put you in touch with....overwhelm is real! You may spend more than you planned! 💼 𝐏𝐡𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰 💼 One of the most common questions I get is how to stand out in an interview and leave a lasting, positive impression. While a strong resume, well-prepared answers, and solid body language are crucial, the phrases you use during an interview can significantly influence how confident you appear. An interview isn’t just a test of your skills—it’s your chance to showcase your confidence and win that job offer. And nothing communicates confidence better than the right words. Hello LinkedIn 🤩 Stop Getting Rejected: Mistakes costing you an interview Have you ever gotten a response like this? How did you feel? "Thank you for your interest in the role of a social media manager in our company. After careful consideration, we regret to inform you that you have not been selected for this role.” To avoid this kind of message don't make the following mistakes in your CV when applying for a job Mistake 1: Using a generalized CV. Many applicants use a single CV for multiple job applications, which diminishes its relevance. Tailoring your CV to each specific job by including industry-related keywords and relevant experiences is crucial to showcasing your suitability for the role. Mistake 2: Neglecting to research the company. Each company operates with its own set of principles and preferences. Failing to research the company may result in overlooking important details, such as preferred referencing styles, which could affect your chances of being considered for the role. Mistake 3: Focusing on duties rather than achievements. Employers are more interested in your accomplishments and experiences than simply listing job duties. Highlighting your achievements, successes, and relevant experiences demonstrates your value to potential employers. By avoiding these mistakes, you can enhance your CV and increase your chances of success in the job market. Did you find it helpful? If you’re ever asked the question what are your strengths in an interview situation avoid answering “I have great communication skills.” Trust me the moment you said hello the Interviewer had already formed an opinion on your communication skills, so it’s pointless and far better to reiterate the positives on your CV. If you think about it your CV is the reason you got the interview, so better to reaffirm statements from your CV for example “ I was with my last company for over eight years so I’d consider myself a committed and reliable person” or “as you can see on my CV because my customer service skills are so good I was fast tracked to Manager and tasked with all the difficult clients”. Strengths should be things that you’re doing and what you’ve accomplished in your career to date. If you’re just starting out in the workplace your strengths should be the things you’ve achieved academically, the voluntary work you undertook, the part time work you did to support your studies or what you’ve accomplished in terms of hobbies or sport that you take part in. All these points are facts and unique to you - as opposed to the same old airy fairy answers of “I’m hard working” or “I’m trustworthy” I hope this helps.

Did you know that sending a thank you or follow-up email after a job interview can significantly boost your chances of landing the job? 🤯 As a recruiter, if it came down to two candidates who were very comparable, I often saw the hiring manager prefer to hire the one that sent the thank you! It's more than just good manners. A well-crafted message can reinforce your interest in the position, allows you to reiterate your qualifications, and show that you're detail-oriented and follow through on commitments. Remember, every interaction is an opportunity to make a positive impression. So, take a few minutes to send that thank you note - it could be the difference between getting a job offer or not! 🌟Save this template for later: Subject: Thank you for your time - [Job Title] Position Dear [Interviewer's Name], Thank you for taking the time to interview me yesterday for the [Job Title] position. It was a pleasure learning more about the role and the team at [Company Name]. [Insert specific detail about the conversation. This shows you were paying attention.] I am very interested in the opportunity to contribute to [Company Name] and believe my skills and experience align well with the position's requirements. Thank you again for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you about the next steps in the hiring process.
