Launching an e-commerce store is easy. Making it succeed is not. The cruel truth is that if nobody wants what you're selling, you won't last long. Rather than reinventing the wheel, look at what's already working. Research best-selling items in your niche, even if you'll face lots of competition. Established demand beats speculative innovation. Next, identify an angle untouched by competitors. Better prices? Superior service? Greater selection? Sharper focus on a sub-segment? An unmet need you can fill? The specific product matters far less than making it irresistible to customers. Give people what they already want, but in a way they can't get elsewhere. That's the formula for an e-commerce site that sells.

How did #BigCommerce fall so hard.
