🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! This year's theme is "Helping Women Now." To raise awareness, we've created a video featuring interviews with women discussing their knowledge about breast cancer, including its causes, prevention strategies, and personal experiences with the disease. We believe that sharing stories and information is vital in empowering others and fostering a supportive community. Stay tuned for the second part of the video, coming soon! It's important to remember that breast cancer is not a death sentence. With early detection and proper management, it can be treated effectively. Regular self-examinations are crucial—if you notice any abnormalities, don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment through the Talamus App to consult a doctor. Together, we can raise awareness and support each other in this journey. Let’s empower women to take charge of their health and well-being! #BreastCancerAwareness #HelpingWomenNow #SelfExamination #TalamusHealth #HealthAwareness #CommunitySupport

🌟 Male Breast Cancer Awareness Week 🌟 At AEFM, we believe that awareness is the first step toward understanding and prevention. This week, we shine a spotlight on an often-overlooked issue: male breast cancer. While breast cancer is commonly associated with women, it's important to remember that men can also be affected. In fact, nearly 2,500 men are diagnosed each year in the U.S. alone. Early detection can make a significant difference, so we encourage everyone to be aware of the signs and symptoms. ✅ What can you do? Educate yourself about risk factors. Share information with friends and family. Schedule regular check-ups and discussions with healthcare providers. Together, we can break the stigma and ensure that male breast cancer is recognized and addressed. Let's raise awareness, support those affected, and advocate for further research. Join us in spreading the word this week! 💙 #MaleBreastCancerAwareness #AEFM #HealthEducation #Support #AwarenessMatters

This month is not just about wearing pink; it’s about sparking conversations, spreading information, and supporting those who have been touched by this disease. 🌸 Some important facts to remember: - 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. - Early detection can increase the chances of successful treatment significantly. - Regular self-examinations and mammograms are crucial steps that can save lives. But beyond the statistics, let’s take a moment to acknowledge the human side of this fight. The courage of those battling breast cancer, the resilience of patients, and the unwavering support of their loved ones. Each story is a testament to strength and hope. If you or someone you know is facing this challenge, know that you are not alone. There’s a whole community standing with you, ready to support, listen, and help. Let's use this month not only to raise awareness but also to act—schedule that check-up, share resources, or simply lend an ear to someone who might need it. Did you know that across the US millions of women simply cannot afford their breast cancer screening and treatment? As we kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Brem Foundation to Defeat Breast Cancer is shining a light on the financial barriers that prevent too many women from accessing lifesaving screenings and potential treatments, if diagnosed. In partnership with No Patient Left Behind, we've released new data via HarrisX - a Stagwell Inc. company and @AmyLevStrategies showing that 2 in 5 women of the recommended screening age (40-74 years old) have not had a screening in the past year, with cost cited as a primary factor. That is simply unacceptable. Breast cancer care must be accessible to all, regardless of financial status. This month, we’re advocating for change to ensure that every woman has the opportunity to protect her health without financial fear, and calling on Congress to pass the bi-partisan Find It Early Act to level the playing field in breast care by removing steep out of pocket costs. 📍 #BreastCancerAwareness Month is an annual campaign that takes place every October to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, and support those affected by the disease. 📍 This month serves as a reminder of the importance of regular screenings, education on risk factors, and the need for research funding. Through various initiatives, events, and educational programs, the campaign aims to empower individuals with knowledge and resources to fight against breast cancer. 🧡 My Mom is a two-time breast cancer survivor and continues to show her resilience to this day...just a few months away from turning 87. 🚨 Don't get complacent. Get checked for that peace of mind. Early detection is key. 🙏 I salute all the women, men, and their families who continue to fight the battle and support each other. #YoureNotAlone *For those of you who might be reluctant, nervous, or new to preventative care, OR would like another option, consider Bexa as part of your healthcare needs. #RealMenWearPink #ThinkPink #BCCWW Alistair Bradshaw Preston Pomykal Dr. Monique Gary, DO, MSc, FACS, FSSO
