What does this mean for you? Speed may be something that can’t change on a dime. Quality may have corners cut, and people may be exploited somewhere in the supply chain. Not saying you shouldn’t shop with cost in mind but merely that it shouldn’t be the only factor when deciding suppliers. Take into account the ethics, speed, flexibility, and willingness to work with you in a pinch. You raise an excellent point, Matthew. Cost is an obviously important factor to consider, but it's just that—*one* factor to consider. Quality, connection, communication, and transparency are just a few other aspects that need to be viewed as equally as important.
