Last week a retired ex-secretary energy Mr. Irfan was appointed as Chairman CPPA-G with the aim to improve performance of energy sector as directed by IMF. Some points to note. 1. Mr Irfan is non technical and is one of those responsible for current energy woes. 2. Irfan is not only incompetent but corrupt. His personal wealth should be investigated by the FIA immediately. 3. CPPA-G makes payment to IPPs for not generating electricity and takes 5-10% Kickbacks on each payment, which comes out to be billions of rupees every month. This booty is shared by all concerned people in Islamabad including the PM secretariat.
