Delhi Enhances Public Transport With Launch Of 320 Electric Buses Delhi Lt Governor V K Saxena inaugurated 320 new electric buses on Tuesday, increasing the city’s electric bus fleet to 1,970. Saxena emphasized that this addition will support Delhi’s efforts to combat pollution. Delhi residents will benefit from a new fleet of 320 electric buses. Future plans include adding even more buses. To effectively reduce pollution in Delhi, it’s crucial to enhance public transport, and this step is aligned with that goal. “Our goal is for the central and Delhi governments to keep working together on this initiative,” stated the Delhi LG during the flag-off event at Baansera. 🚗 Transforming India's Roads: The Vehicle Scrapping Policy 🌱 India is taking a bold step toward cleaner, greener transportation with the Vehicle Scrapping Policy. 🌍 Over 10 million vehicles in India are more than 15 years old, emitting high levels of pollutants. These aging vehicles significantly contribute to air pollution and impact public health. ♻️ The benefits: Scrapping old vehicles reduces emissions and improves air quality. Owners receive government incentives to purchase new, fuel-efficient, or electric vehicles. Recycled materials like steel and aluminum support a sustainable circular economy. 🌟 A greener future awaits: This initiative is a significant step toward a sustainable future, ensuring cleaner air and reduced carbon emissions for everyone. 💡 Ready to join the movement? Let’s create a cleaner, more sustainable India together. 👉 For detailed insights and assistance on the Vehicle Scrapping Policy and its benefit , reach out to us at [email protected] Click the link for video: https://lnkd.in/gjR84mEb #vehiclescrapping #sustainability #cleanair #greenerfuture #electricvehicles #recycling #circulareconomy #greenmobility #carbonreduction #environment #sustainabletransport #futureofmobility #renewables #pollutioncontrol #ecofriendly

Delhi's air is so thick, the Kardashians are jealous. But jokes aside, let's talk numbers: 38% of Delhi's pollution = vehicles Every 3rd vehicle on the road = a cab Most cabs are CNG vehicles, considered to be the green alternative = still 70% as polluting as petrol/diesel EVs = ZERO tailpipe emissions The health costs of this pollution? Devastating: Premature births Birth defects Cardiovascular diseases Long-term lung issues Here's a thought: Instead of playing musical chairs with Odd-Even schemes, why not mandate cab services to go electric? Companies like Blu Smart are already proving it works (and heading towards profitability by 2026). Simple math: Converting all cabs to EVs could cut Delhi's pollution by 12.5%. That's not just a number - that's the difference between seeing the sun and... well, wondering if it's still there! Your thoughts on making Delhi's cab fleet 100% electric? #DelhiPollution #CleanAir #EV #Sustainability

In most Indian cities, different modes of transport face their own challenges-traffic-clogged roads, overcrowded public transport, and the lack of footpaths and cycle tracks sideline soft mobility users. The questions remain—how did we let our cities get this way? The root causes can be identified by a threefold effect: the unintended consequence of land use planning, an over-investment in the automobile, and the lack of synergy between the city’s planning authorities. You can read more about my solutions to these three problems here-https://lnkd.in/dJR7BkgB #WorldSustainableTransportDay #SustainableTransport#SustainableCities
