If you're a $30 million business, it would not be a bad thing to budget between $1.2 million and $3 million for marketing. Oh. I'm sorry. Did I make your eyes pop out of their sockets? If they did, you've got a big problem. Most small businesses have no idea how much to set aside for marketing other than "what sounds good." And what sounds good is often a lot less than the standard percentage here in the year 2024. That's not good for your reputation - "They're good at what they do, but they pay like crap." Julie and I talked about this very subject on The Lead Magnets podcast, which may be quite the shocker at first.
