CBSE has taken a significant step towards revolutionizing education by introducing 50% competency-focused questions in 10th and 12th board exams! This move aligns perfectly with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes competency-based learning. At our organization Sri Aurobindo Society Rupantar , we've been advocating for Competency-Based Learning (CBL) and Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) for a while now. I believe that CBL focuses on developing specific skills and competencies in students, rather than just imparting knowledge. CBA, on the other hand, assesses students' mastery of these competencies, providing a more accurate picture of their learning. By introducing competency-focused questions, CBSE is taking a significant step towards shifting the focus from rote learning to meaningful learning. This will not only enhance student learning outcomes but also prepare them for the challenges of the 21st century. #CompetencyBasedLearning #CompetencyBasedAssessment #NEP2020 #CBSE #EducationReform #SriAurobindo #HolisticEducation

There's often a confusion between the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and the Choice Based Elective System (CBES). While many institutions claim CBCS compliant, they often only offer limited #elective choices, typically 3-4 credits per semester. #CBCS is a comprehensive enrollment process where students shape their curriculum by selecting from a full spectrum of courses—core, departmental electives, foundational, and more. This creates a truly flexible learning environment. With Camu, achieving genuine #CBCS compliance is seamless: -Plan courses with pre-enlistment and preview features. -Offer multiple enrollment cycles. -Manage auto-drop/fee linkage with course credits. -Schedule timetables and staff planning (weekly and modular) for students. - Complete #flexibility for the students to choose their own curriculum plan of study independently. Camu’s end-to-end #CBCS solution ensures alignment with the National Credit Framework as suggested by University Grants Commission (UGC) Ready to elevate your institution to true #CBCS compliance, beyond mere CBES? Partner with Camu and make flexible, student-centered learning a reality! Camu Swami AR Mouli Kumar Venkateshwara Rao PC: Camu HQs.

Bridging the Learning Gap: Rethinking CBSE Assessments As the education landscape evolves, the question arises: Should CBSE shift its focus from score-based evaluation to competency-based assessment? Competency-based assessments emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and application of knowledge—skills essential for real-world success. While traditional score-based systems provide a standardized measure of performance, they often fail to capture a student's holistic capabilities and creativity. Prioritizing competency-based evaluation could bridge learning gaps, foster deeper understanding, and prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow. What are your thoughts on this transformation in education? Is it time to redefine success in Indian classrooms? #Education #CBSE #CompetencyBasedLearning #AssessmentReform #FutureReady
