In Australia, 1 in 4 women will experience domestic violence in their lifetime, with 1 in 10 facing physical or sexual violence from a partner in the past year (AIHW, 2024). These statistics represent real lives, families, communities and futures at risk. From November 18 to December 13, we observe White Ribbon Month, a time to raise awareness and challenge the harmful attitudes and behaviours surrounding abuse. It's a reminder that we all have a role in creating a world where respect and equality thrive.
