🌟 We're proud to showcase the impact of the Applied Data Fellowship on key projects across various sectors! 🌟 One of our amazing fellows, María Gabriela Ayala, has been instrumental in supporting a recent project with the Illinois Power Agency. The IPA has launched the Clean Energy Dashboard at https://lnkd.in/gYw52-q9. The Dashboard website, developed by IPA staff, with support from the Applied Data Fellowship, is designed to track the progress and impact of renewable energy development across Illinois. The Dashboard website tracks renewable energy projects within and outside of the Illinois Renewable Portfolio Standard and serves as an educational tool for stakeholders and policymakers to quickly answer common questions about the growth of renewable energy in Illinois. At the Applied Data Fellowship, we are committed to empowering data professionals to lead, innovate, and make a real-world difference. Exciting times ahead as we continue to support projects that harness the power of data for positive change! #AppliedDataFellowship #DataScience #Innovation #Teamwork #Impact

At our last project meeting in Linz at OÖ Energiesparverband all project partners from six european countries came together to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding #EnergyCommunities 🗣 Ingo Ball (WIP Renewable Energies) summarizes the discussion, focusing on the distinct national contexts for establishing and fostering energy communities, as outlined in the EU’s RED II directive. Partners delve into the opportunities, challenges, and unique characteristics present in each country. The insights gleaned from this Landscape Analysis will prove invaluable in shaping the development of ECTOs (Energy Community Transformation Offices). These ECTOs, envisioned as information hubs for local stakeholders, are slated for launch in target regions by autumn 2024. ✨ https://lnkd.in/d5kyCQ2u #RenewableEnergy #LIFEprogramme #CleanEnergyEU #Germany LIFE Programme Project Partners: Escan consultoría energética Black Sea Energy Research Centrе WIP Renewable Energies Bürgerstiftung Energiewende Oberland OÖ Energiesparverband Ayuntamiento de Rivas Vaciamadrid Technological University of the Shannon Tipperary Energy Agency #energetsko_podnebna_agencija_za_podravje #chernomorski_izledovateleski_energien_tsentar #municipality_of_selnica_ob_dravi #templederry_renewable_energy_supply #municipality_of_Gabrovo

A brilliant piece in the i newspaper featuring Elmhurst Energy that raises lots of great questions and points about EPCs. -Clearly they are valued, as homebuyers are increasingly using them in purchasing decisions. -How can we improve them (top tip: show estimated energy bills, energy consumption and carbon emissions) to make them more useful? -How can making them more useful support decisions about which energy efficiency improvements to put in place in your home? Once again, some hugely pragmatic and sensible commentary from Stuart Fairlie, too. What your new home's EPC energy efficiency rating means for your bills (inews.co.uk) Tom Bawden Dominic Reed Andrew Parkin Andy Dunn Dhiren Mistry #EnergyEfficiency #EnergyPerformanceCertificates #EPCs #energybills #energyassessment

✉️ We're writing to Ed – yes, that is a thing! And while this post is a bit of fun... it’s also deadly serious. 😅💼 Since 2018, the government has mandated all large UK companies to report their carbon emissions under the Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) framework. 📊🌍 The goal? To improve transparency and encourage businesses to reduce their carbon footprint. 🌱 Sounds good, right? 👍 Well, it's all good… as long as everyone does it. But it only works if we can identify who is, and who isn’t reporting this info. 🕵️♂️ Our segmentation suggests up to 23,000 entities fall into this category, and we know a substantial chunk of them aren't tracking their emissions. 📉 Along with Ed Miliband, we're reaching out to many of DESNZ's top brass with the same letter. 🏛️ But letters can be hit or miss. 🎯 There is someone at DESNZ right now who would love to know we exist and what we're up to. 🚀 Can you help us find them? 🙏
