August is National Make a Will Month! This month, we’re highlighting five important questions to consider when planning your will. Our fourth question is: What stories do you want to share? Your stories are a beautiful treasure to pass on to future generations. Sharing your experiences, from childhood memories to overcoming challenges, preserves family history and encourages your loved ones. Join us as we explore these questions throughout the month. Your support of All Belong helps make inclusion possible for schools, ensuring every student feels known, needed, and experiences belonging. "We are at last face to face with the fact that our difficulty is a difficulty of the human spirit." Regardless of our generation, our identity, our contexts, transitions are constant and often necessary if not entirely welcome. This we all share. Yet, transitions feel uniquely: Personal, Isolating, Confusing, Longer than necessary. This too we share. We say we want to be happier. What we really want is significance, to be at home with oneself and to like it. And so our difficulty is “a difficulty of the human spirit.” To find your way is best done in community. Our next round table discussion “All Things Transitions” is focused on discernment—making use of what we already know to get a little closer to the significance we aspire for. Are traditional evaluation reports past their prime? With some of the team at The Social Investment Consultancy (TSIC) we've been debating this and it’s a hot topic. Evaluation reports have been the backbone of our work for years. But are they really working for us anymore? ⏱️The attention economy has changed. Long reports don’t resonate in a world dominated by TikToks, podcasts and data viz. Why spend hours on a PDF no one wants to open? ⚖️ Power dynamics are shifting. Traditional reports often reflect expert-driven narratives, sidelining experiential knowledge and reinforcing hierarchies. 🖼️Impact is what matters. If a report doesn’t spark action, shift mindsets, or change behavior, what’s the point? A well-timed infographic or a thought-provoking podcast might achieve more than a 50-page document ever could. Maybe it’s time we reimagine what evaluation looks like? In my work I've been experimenting with new ways to make evaluation impactful and equitable. Check out our blog post to see some of the debates we've been having #evaluation #impact #reports
A Break-Up or Falling Back in Love? 💔❤️ At TSIC, we've been rethinking our relationship with evaluation reports. Are they still sparking joy, or is it time to move on? In our latest blog by Yu-Shan Chiu and Emma Roberts, we share two heartfelt letters: one bidding farewell to evaluation reports, and another rekindling the romance. So, where do you stand? 👉 Ready to break up? 👉 Still madly in love? 👉 It's complicated! 🔗 Read the blog post here: https://lnkd.in/eu4W2ESj Stay tuned for our next post, where we'll unveil our new approach to impactful and equitable evaluation.
