In the "Hydrogen strategy for a climate-neutral Europe", the heavy-duty segment was identified as the most likely segment for the early mass deployment of hydrogen-powered vehicles. Mandatory deployment targets for publicly accessible hydrogen refuelling points should ensure a sufficiently dense network of hydrogen refuelling points across the Trans-European Transport (TEN-T) core network to allow for the seamless travel of hydrogen-powered light-duty and heavy-duty vehicles throughout the Union. Today, FCHEA President Frank Wolak testified at the public hearing on the Section 45V Credit for Production of Clean Hydrogen to affirm our previously provided written comments. Those comments sought transition and alternatives to the proposed three pillars that would yield success for the industry. European Commission calls for improved long term hydrogen mobility financial support. By JOHN MAX The EU body’s Joint Research Centre is seeking to make fuel cell vehicles more competitive. The European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC) is advocating for strategic measures to accelerate the growth of hydrogen mobility. The JRC’s report was in favor of financial support for fuel cell vehicles The JRC’s 110-page report titled “Historical Analysts of Clean Hydrogen JU Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles, Buses and Refuelling Infrastructure Projects”, delves into the historical analysis of clean hydrogen mobility such as H2-fueled vehicles and infrastructure projects. Real action to generate a cleaner future in mobility sector.
Air Products today announced it intends to build a network of permanent, commercial-scale, multi-modal hydrogen refueling stations stretching from Northern California to Southern California. Eric Guter, Air Products’ Global Vice President, Hydrogen for Mobility, made the announcement during his keynote address at the California Hydrogen Convention at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The new multi-modal hydrogen refueling stations will have the capacity to fuel as many as 200 heavy-duty trucks or 2,000 light-duty vehicles per day.
