What if, instead of focusing on scaling, we strive to make what we offer so exceptional and irresistible that people can't help but talk about it, share it, and even stand in line and pay a premium for it? What does your authorpreneurship experience feel like? Is it worth making a "remark" about so that it becomes "remarkable." Seth Godin seared that into my head and it's one of the best things I've ever picked up and try to apply in my work. Scaling has become such a buzzword that we've forgotten the importance of the human touch, the human element. Don't get me wrong, I love growth. But in today’s world, healthy growth is rare. I’ve been resisting the fast scale model because, honestly, there’s no need to rush. I understand my audience and my clients. They need someone they can trust to guide them on their journey. Instead of chasing "more," I’ve been working diligently to develop myself, my team, and my processes to ensure that each person receives a truly special and memorable experience. Will I get it right every time? No, of course not. I’ve made mistakes along the way. But the more attention I pay to the quality of the experience, the more my clients advocate for and refer me to others. In a world increasingly dominated by AI, I want to continue leaning into the human touch. Don’t get me wrong, I use AI every day now, like many of you, but I also want to use it to help enhance the experience authors receive. Last week Conversionista hosted a "roundtable" where we invited executives from different industries and companies to discuss the thrilling topic: "Boost your profit with the power of business experimentation" Nina Elise Mikaelsen & Simen K. Rønning from Oda and Enes Terzic from Conversionista! shared insights from running successful experimentation teams as well as pitfalls, success criteria's and different ways of doing business experimentation. My key take aways: 🥇 The field of business experimentation is not new - but with the digital revolution, it has become easier, and is still the best way to validate ideas and give solid input to informed decision-making. 🔎 Our take on different phases of business experimentation; Phase 1: Think it. This phase is perfect for new ideas to answer Go/No Go. A typical experiment to run in this phase could be a fake door test. Phase 2: Build it. This is the point of no return, you have validated your idea and will experiment your way into the service/product details. Will give you input to the right way forward, and a conjoint study could be a way to test. Phase 3: Tweak it. Could this be better? At this point, you are live and can start optimizing and validating your hypotheses through A/B testing. 💰In each of the 3 test phases it's important to design clever experiments measuring behavior and not attitude. Clever experiments + measuring behavior = 💲 💡 Aligning your business goals and performance metrics is crucial and conversion rate (CR) solely might not be enough. ⚠ Experiment context matters.
