Checklist of micro 𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 behaviors that I've observed 1. Refusing to apologize when in the wrong 2. Never let those who did the work present 3. Taking credit for the team's work 5. Constantly finding fault 7. Assuming the worst about others 9. Use harsh and abrupt words 10. Favouritism amongst team 11. Hoarding information from team members 12. Provide vague directions 13. Constant backflips 15. Always too busy and unavailable 16. Gazzilion emails and messages 17. Intrusion of personal/family time 18. YES man/woman to the higher ups 19. People-pleasing those with power 20. Keep rescheduling team or 1 on 1 meetings 21. Blame team members worse when they had little control, 22. Stoking unhealthy competition between teams 23. Questioning every details of the team , not focus on the substance 24. Every decision must be made and checked with the top 25. Punishing team members for raising issues 26. Playing favorites 27. Tolerating bad behaviors especially on rainmakers 28. Dismissing the concerns of team members 30. Publicly humiliates team members 31. Ignoring feedbacks 32. Criticizing personal traits of team members 33. Overworking the team 34. Gossiping with team members about other team members 35. Never listens 36. Always Interrupts 37. Socialise only with team members who are similar 38. Using indirect or subtle forms of negativity 39. Making racialized jokes 40. Promoting toxic team members to leadership roles If you experience this, know that you have a choice to leave and find leaders who would value you If you are unconsciously practicing these behaviours, know that you have a choice to change to be the leader you want to be. Paling aku tak suka is the employee who do favors for boss -- collect his personal document from some Govt department, fetch anak dia bila wifey tak boleh -- and other errands unrelated to original job scope that the ethical employees decline to do.
