Kindness: The Wind Beneath My Dreams When I announced last month that “I am choosing to live my dreams, not my fears,” - my head understood it, but my heart wasn’t quite on board. Four weeks later, I feel my heart is catching up. 😊 Someone once said, “Whisper your wishes to the universe, and it finds a way to send you not just what you want, but exactly what you need.” This holiday season feels like the perfect time to pause, reflect, and express gratitude. To those who have supported, guided, and uplifted me throughout my career. Your kindness, wisdom, and encouragement have shaped my journey and given me the courage to step into the unknown. I hope these mini-stories of gratitude inspire you to reflect on your journey. Here’s my list, in roughly reverse chronology: - To the absolute stranger who met me last month in BLR and generously shared her learnings, advice, and positive energy. - To the stranger-turned-confidante who didn’t stop at taking ‘this horse to the pond’ but then nudged until I learnt to drink. I owe much of my journey as a coach to you. - To the friend I’d lost touch with, who picked up my call instantly after 8 yrs , offered endless wisdom, and continues to check in and remind me that this will work out. - To the friend-cum-unpaid counselor who told me to "solve for my worst days" and assured me that the world wouldn’t stop spinning if I quit my job. - To my soul sister at work, my loudest cheerleader - she lifts me up, scolds me when needed, and showers me with unconditional love and encouragement. - To the quiet colleague who quickly became a true friend, inspiring me with her quiet strength and fierce courage to stand up for what she believes in. - To the tall leader (literally and figuratively) who welcomed me into his LT with open arms, treated me as a true partner, and offered the wisdom, 'confidence erodes competence’. - To the manager who gave me the space to accumulate 10,000+ hours of practice as a facilitator. Also helped me try out freelancing—a trial run that gave me the courage to take this bold step. - To the manager who gave me wings; who hired me while I was in the middle of a difficult recovery from burnout and then empowered me to achieve things I never imagined I was capable of. - To the manager who took me under his wings and gave me a masterclass in stakeholder navigation. And who continues to push me to dream big and believes I can make them a reality. - To my oldest yet youngest-at-heart friend, who is always there when I call and ends every conversation with a joyful ‘you’re welcome.’ - To the zen manager who patiently guided me as I stumbled through my early days as an HRBP and made me feel like family for life. - To the two fearless women who dared to dream and build a business with a heart. - To the mentor with a heart – she turned a job interview into a counseling session because, 'we’re humans first.' Here’s to reflecting on the kindnesses we’ve received, giving thanks and paying it forward.
All the very best for the next stage of your chosen life. May you reach all the milestones that you wish to achieve.
May this bold step- bring you all the sucess you dreamt, I just wish everyone to get at least few of those “To” in their lives as well! All the best Suchita
