Let’s break it down 👨🏫: 📚 Internship & Placement: Being a Student Placement Coordinator at Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies, I understand the importance of CGPA within a resume. Recruiters often use CGPA as a quick filter. 📚Thoroughness Indicator: A high CGPA signals dedication, commitment & diligence. It’s like saying, “I don’t just skim—I dive deep!” 📚Interview Tiebreaker: When candidates are neck-and-neck, CGPA can tip the scales in your favor. (But again that is not always the case!) 📚Safe Zone: As per my experience and the guidance that I received from my seniors, aiming for a 8.5+ CGPA is considered great. CGPA is a big talking point, especially during placements. Here's the reality! Yes, CGPA matters. Many companies use it for shortlisting candidates.  A strong CGPA showcases your dedication and academic ability. But hey, it's not the only factor! CGPA enhances your resume.  A good CGPA grabs attention and makes you a strong initial candidate. But, it's not the whole story.  Companies look for well-rounded individuals with strong skills (technical and soft!), relevant experience (projects, internships), and a passion for the field. So, -> Focus on building strong skills alongside academics. -> Don't underestimate the power of internships and projects. -> Acing those few nights of studying can make a big difference (though cramming all semester might not be the best strategy ). It will land you to grab your best opportunities in internships, collaborative projects with peers and placements 👑Start working hard atleast 4 hours a day consistently without any distraction 🌈 Also focus on marks distribution of each units from the syllabus (follow the latest one) 💥 Presentation with flow charts, underlining of headings, preparing indexes are still a relevant basis for good marks just as in your school. ⛵Do not let yourself to the mercy of preparation 2 days before the exam (if it is your plan, drop it). 🚫 This way you may pass the exam with passing marks but your journey to DU is not worth just secure passing marks. 🏆 Never leave questions from Previous year question papers. Include them in your first revision and repeat it till the last one.
