8moAi can be used in another way to combat loneliness . We are working on a new use of Ai initially with those in care . We have trialed our approach in Care Homes in Ayrshire . In these trials a lady who hadn’t spoken for three weeks started to talk about cruises she had taken with husband . And a man who hadn’t spoken since his admission chose some images and talked non stop for 40 minutes . His carer broke down in tears . What we are now working on with Strathclyde University is to use Ai to capture the images that are most likely to capture the personal memorable experience dependent upon personal background . Eg A rural or Urban upbringing . Bought up in the UK or abroad . Age . Sex etc Capturing someone’s Memorable Experiences is a game changer for those in Care . In Ayrshire Care Homes two noteworthy examples of shared memorable experiences came to light . Baking and Fishing . In the trials although these was done on a individual basis other residents saw the images and started to converse amongst themselves about baking with their mothers . Our intent is to not only to combat loneliness but also to engage more deeply with those in Care so as to improve their both mental and physical health
