Cinematic is a word thrown around a lot when talking about games, AW2 hit the sweet spot between fantastic gameplay and rich narrative , MGS is renowned for its cut scenes, but Hellblade 2 hits cinematic heights unlike anything I’ve played to date. I mean this in the way that you never really feel as though you are participating in Senua’s story but more being lead through it, a passenger on her journey, the guard railed gameplay constraining your movements. But it’s the intense visceral nature of the game that brings you back, I’ve never experienced 3D audio utilised to such effect and HB2 may just be one of, if not the best UE game to date from a graphical fidelity standpoint, with gameplay and cutscenes almost indistinguishable. The story is intense, like Bonetomahawk and 13th Warrior had a baby and covered it in dread, the music intense and the atmospheric horror over jump scares grips you from the off. HB 2 may not break ground from a gameplay standpoint but what it strips back in traditional gameplay, it lavishes on narrative, taking cinematic gaming to new heights Take a bow Ninja Theory for creating a unique and compelling gaming experience! #hellblade2 #Gaming #Review
