Your TOMORROW starts TODAY… What DECISIONS are you going to make TODAY, to create the TOMORROW that YOU ENVISION?   What SACRIFICES are you going to make in the PRESENT to create the life you want in the FUTURE?   What CONNECTIONS are you going to make TODAY, that will be STRONG LINKS in your chain TOMORROW? What FOUNDATION will you LAY TODAY, that you will BUILD ON TOMORROW?   What SEEDS are you going to SOW TODAY, that you will REAP TOMORROW?   Don’t wait until TOMORROW, to do the things you  need to do TODAY. TOMORROW very well may be TOO LATE. #BUILDaBrandThatMatters   #BEaBrandThatMatters #GravitasMan #ChiefEncouragementOfficer #FromSuccessToSignificance #WEcanCHANGEtheWORLD

There is no such thing as free time. Because, even though time is free, it is priceless. You can't own time, but you can use it. You can't buy time, but you can spend it. Once gone, you can never get it back. Saying you don't have time is like saying you don't have time to stop for gas as you're too busy driving. You can't make time, only spend it. You will not be remembered for your watch, your shoes or the car you drive. One day you will wake up and you're 80 years old and you can't remember what it's like to have 20 year old thoughts or a 10 year old heart. Nobody on their deathbed wished they spent more time at work. Rest. day dream, dance in your pants... Because those who say you only live once are wrong. You only die once, you live every day. Make it count.

That's so true! Setting boundaries and taking time to evaluate commitments are essential for maintaining focus and balance in life. Sometimes, a thoughtful "no" is more productive than a rushed "yes."Many of the challenges we face stem from overcommitting ourselves without fully understanding the implications. Saying "yes" too quickly often leads to stress, burnout, and a loss of focus on what truly matters. On the other hand, learning to say "no" at the right time is a skill that allows us to prioritize effectively, protect our energy, and stay aligned with our goals.

I have learned through experience to pause when asked to participate in an activity, serve on a committee, join a group or to do anything social to rethink my existing committments. This gives me a opportunity to see if this added request is going to jeopardize any prior commitments. My response when I have determined that I am at a good balance with commitments is to reply with: I am unable to participated due to previous requests; I wouldn't be able to give the necessary time to serve the committee(s) and give my best effort; or if I could let the individual know of my ability to participate once I review my schedule. It appears to be easier to quickly commit when asked directly by an individual, text or email to participate especially when there is a lot going on and responding without having to think about the request, however, pausing is a gift to oneself in the longrun. 🌻

Yep guilty as charged, said yea for countless reasons the more popular was people pleasing, the second one was not wanting to let people down, you can call that 1b and the other has been not really understanding time management, right like I might want to do that but just have the time so it should be a no. Etc. Something i learned and still learning so I this resonates a lot.

Time is the most valuable resource you have, and yet most people waste it thinking they have all the time in the world.  The truth is, you don’t. Every day that passes without you taking action toward your goals is time lost, time you’ll never get back.  If you truly want to change your life, whether it’s making more money or living more comfortably, you need to realize the urgency of your time right now. Most people fall into the trap of thinking, “There’s always tomorrow.”  But tomorrow is never promised.  Procrastination is a thief of time, and the longer you wait to pursue your dreams, the harder it becomes to catch up.  Every minute you waste is a step further from your goals, and you can never retrieve that lost time. To avoid this trap, you need to ask yourself:  What’s the most important thing in my life?  What do I want to achieve, and what’s standing in the way?  Once you know what matters most, create a clear plan.  Prioritize your life, make tough decisions, and start taking action.  The changes you need to make are not optional, they’re essential. I hope this helps 🦊

Time is the currency of life. This couldn’t be more true. The way we spend it isn’t just a reflection of our values, it’s the foundation of our legacy.

That’s so true, and it hits close to home. Early in my career, I said yes to almost every request, whether it was building dashboards, creating models, or pulling ad-hoc reports. I thought it showed initiative, but it often led to burnout and unfocused work. It took me a while to realize the value of saying no, not out of laziness, but to protect time for meaningful, high-impact tasks. Have you found any strategies that help you balance priorities without overcommitting?

I couldn't agree more with you. Time is indeed our most valuable asset and it's crucial to use it wisely. In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life and lose sight of what truly matters. That's why it's important to prioritize our time and focus on the things that bring us joy and fulfillment. Whether it's spending time with loved ones, pursuing our passions, or working towards our goals, we should always strive to make the most of every moment. Thank you for sharing this insightful post.
