How important is ‘Wellbeing” in high-performance teams? For a lot of leaders in sales-driven businesses, Wellbeing is often seen as an inconvenience or a distraction. Whether it is recruitment, trading, estate agency or some other kind of target-based environment, a lot of people see it as EITHER: — Everyone just gets on with the task. There is no time for getting caught up in personal drama…and sales are high OR — We have a nurturing, supportive environment…and mediocre sales I speak with owners of recruitment businesses every day, and it is quite clear that most fall into one of these two camps. The ‘High-Performance’ culture leaders do not see the value in supporting their teams on a personal level, unless it is a top biller who is struggling with something specific... Whereas the ‘Nurturing’ leaders invest time and energy into promoting positive wellbeing, but are then concerned about whether they are giving permission for average performance. In reality, it doesn’t have to be one extreme or the other. You CAN have a ‘High-Performance’ culture that encourages wellbeing. You can develop a team where everyone communicates well, is focused on the task, works consistently, challenges each other, wants to be at the top of the leaderboard, is financially motivated, brings positive energy and is willing to pick up the phone….AND looks after their own mental, emotional, physical wellbeing. If your people feel respected and listened to, they will work hard. If they are working on their own self-awareness, they will be more receptive to feedback. Investing time and resources into Wellbeing isn’t a concession to average productivity. You can have a highly motivated, present AND happy workforce by looking after them as human beings. If you are trying to create a high-performance culture yourself, and are getting stuck in certain areas, please get in touch as I have several case studies I can share with you. #highperformance #mindset #wellbeing #sales

The most effective leadership teams track less than 25 KPIs. And there is one common thing that's often swept under the rug: Employee health. Ignoring it? That's a one-way ticket to your company's performance taking a nosedive. In a workplace where health is sidelined: ➠ Absenteeism skyrockets ➠ Stress hits the roof ➠ Morale? More like morale-what? ➠ Creativity takes a nap ➠ Turnover becomes a revolving door Surprise, surprise - these issues are more common than you'd like to admit. With 60% of employees feeling stressed, it's no wonder productivity is on vacation. Time for a wake-up call: ➜ Health check-ups aren't just for hypochondriacs ➜ Mental health days are a must, not a maybe ➜ Create a work environment that doesn't suck ➜ Wellness programs: because your team deserves it Prioritizing health isn't just good karma, it's your commitment for sustainable growth. Invest in your team's well-being, and watch your company reach higher levels. ✍🏼 What is the priority for you as a leader? ♻️ If you found this post helpful, please share it with your network. #Leadership #EmployeeWellbeing #CompanyCulture #HR #Productivity #KPI

The biggest cause of workplace stress is usually a result of poor management. Line managers in particular. Most line managers are hired based on thier technical skill and not thier interpersonal and social skills and ability to support and manage people. If your role is to manage people, your strongest skills need to be focused around people and not marketing/operations/sales (for example) Being the founder of a small buisness I also focus a lot of my effort on developing my leadership skills, being aware of the fact that more than 50% of workplace illness is associated to stress motivates me to ensure that I recognise people's needs, understand that because I am the main decision maker I also need to recognise that everybody has different needs in the workplace and that one standardised policy doesn't work when it comes to employee contracts. Some people need flexibility and some people don't. Some people need more contact time and others need less. Some people are more emotionally driven and some people are more milestone driven. Fundamentally consistent overworking (usually created by the managers workplace culture) will lead to poor productivity, time and money wasting and ultimately burnout. #founder #workplacestress #leadership #managment

Nowadays these trends are increasing and being business head we need to see this closely and analyse the right reason which is causing such behavior.
As India’s first talentpreneur mentor, I coach MSME’s and SME’s to build effective Sales Teams in 120 days using my STARS framework that enables them to double their turnover.
Your employees are calling for help! . . Absenteeism isn’t random. It’s a sign something deeper is wrong. Is your workplace environment healthy? Toxic cultures push people away. Look for patterns! Are they absent on the same days? This could reveal weak spots in your workflow. Have you checked in with them? Personal issues often bleed into work, and silence makes things worse. Use the “Root Cause Analysis Framework” 1. Identify patterns in absenteeism. 2. Engage employees with open conversations. 3. Assess engagement levels using surveys and one-on-one check-ins. 4. Fix toxic workflows that could be driving them away. 5. Measure improvements in performance and satisfaction after changes. Absenteeism is more than missed days. It’s a red flag for business culture. Fix the root cause, and you’ll fix absenteeism. Follow me for more valuable insights. ------------------------------------ 𝑷.𝑺. During Covid, I went to office every day. Reason? Because my team members were coming to office every day. 𝗠𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲. If my team is there, I must be there. My sentiment, straight from #militaryservice, was even more simple: I was committed to take care of the team. Did I ignore myself then? I did. Do I ignore myself now? Of course, I do! A little less, but its not zero. 𝗜𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗶𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹: 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳. 🔋Recharge Yourself before the charge enters the red zone.🔋 Before you can conquer the world, you must first conquer your own well-being. 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟱 𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲: 💡 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽: Like a high-performance machine, body also requires regular maintenance. Neglecting self-care is a surefire way to burn out faster than a shooting star. 🧘♂️ 𝗟𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗨𝗽 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗚𝗮𝗺𝗲: Take a cue from the playbook of champions. Prioritize your physical, mental, and spiritual fitness. 🌱 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Balance is the name of the game. Set boundaries and embrace the art of saying no. Remember, you're not a superhero—yet! 🚀 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗵 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹: Make self-care a non-negotiable part of your routine. Energized, focused, and unstoppable—that's the winning combination! 🌟 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗻𝘁: As leaders, you must show the way.
