When grownups try playing sports with mature people and they stink they might not be invited back for "the big games". But when kids don't have the coordination for sports down, other kids can be downright cruel. It's messed up, but it's true. I'm not saying every kid needs to train for the big leagues. What I am saying is, if possible, I think every kid needs to develop the fundamental skills of each sport.* So, this summer for 30 minutes every. single. morning. after a hearty breakfast my kids have been and will continue to do basic drills for each of the sports below: - Soccer - Football - Baseball - Basketball - Gymnastics - Kickball (arguably the best and most important 😉 ) It's been amazing! I hope, if it's possible, that you choose to experience it for yourself with your kids. There are a lot of little details that make this routine not only possible, but simple. And man, it's worth every second of preparation. -- *I have a whole list of benefits for doing this that I'll share another day. Yes, this is our backyard :).
