Nowhere near the legal age on... National Alcohol Screening Day 🍸 Did you know that the very oldest MIRA systems are about 10 years old?? Even our older systems stack up against the competition... In a comparison of MIRA M-3 and competitor 1064 nm Raman and FT-IR systems, all could predict methanol and ethanol content in Pisco samples. In fact, the results indicated that 17 out of 171 (predominantly from small artisanal distilleries) samples failed defined quality standards for Pisco. Our team is making excellent progress in perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) detection using our Salvus Detection Platform. We can currently detect concentrations to 100 parts per billion (ppb) quantitatively and to 10 ppb qualitatively, and we are vetting two paths to achieve detection in the parts-per-trillion range.
