- What are the biggest myths about #ModularConstruction? 🤔
👉 By far the biggest myth of modular construction is to equate it with container buildings. Well, nothing could be further from the truth. After completion, modern modular construction is no different from traditional construction, and people staying in such a building are usually very surprised to find out that it is not a traditionally built building.
👉 Modularly, we can build large areas, open and tall rooms, large glazing and unusual shapes. And this last statement is another one of the myths which says that modular means minimalist confinement to a cuboid. Using this method, structures of any shape can be created. We have realised buildings in the shape of an egg, a triangle, pitched and envelope roofs or unusual hipped dormers in the attic. Examples of these realisations can be seen on our website in realisations.
👉 Another myth I often encounter is the opinion that modular construction is less durable relative to the traditional method i.e. concrete and brick. Our core is steel construction, and there is no need to give examples of how many bare steel structures have been standing for decades all over the world. Modular buildings do not differ from any other construction method in terms of their durability.
👉 The last myth is that it is a new and unproven method of construction. Modular/prefabricated construction has been in use for many decades, but has indeed gained the most popularity in recent years due, among other things, to the increased efficiency in terms of the ecology involved in their manufacture. Nevertheless, they are reliable, proven and safe methods subject to strict quality control during production.
