Seeking your first position in Australia? Recruiters may not always be the best option. With nearly 20 years in Construction recruitment in Sydney, I can offer valuable insights on entering the market. Recruiters charge a significant fee to their clients in return for their service based on time and results. In return for this fee employers expect recruiters to provide candidates who offer an immediate 'value add' and local knowledge of their clients, specs, standards and industry. I think that very often candidates from around the world can offer insight, fresh approach, commitment, loyalty, technical prowess and more. Alas, in most cases I am bound by what my directive is from my clients. My advice? Build your network within your industry, leveraging prior skills in a related discipline. Message your audience with a clear objective and inquire about sharing your CV. Remember, your CV should focus on work history, project details, leadership skills, and achievements – not flashy visuals. Use tools like Grammarly to showcase impeccable communication, presentation and professionalism. Securing your first position can be challenging, but don't lose hope. Avoid wasting time solely through recruiters; connect with extensive industry networks to maximise your opportunities. While the process may seem daunting, persistence pays off. As someone who once crossed the globe for new opportunities, I understand the journey. Feel free to reach out for advice – I'm here to help. Keep pushing forward and Keep the Faith in your path. ✊️

With a rise in unemployment, it's important to gain support to secure your next role. Working with an agency recruiter can offer several advantages for job seekers. Let’s explore some of the key benefits: ★ Access to a Broader Job Market: Recruitment agencies often have exclusive access to job openings that may not be publicly advertised. By partnering with an agency, you can can tap into a wider range of opportunities. ★ Access to Hidden Roles: Some companies prefer to work exclusively with recruitment agencies to fill their vacancies. As a result, candidates who collaborate with agencies gain access to these “hidden” job roles that may not be publicly advertised. ★ Expertise in Job Matching: Recruiters specialise in matching candidates with suitable roles. We understand the job market, industry trends, and the specific requirements of various positions. This expertise increases the chances of finding you a job that aligns with your skills and preferences. ★ Personalised Support: Throughout the recruitment process, we will provide personalised support. We offer guidance on your CV presentation, interview preparation, and career advice. Agency recruiter insights can help you present yourselves effectively to potential employers. ★ Time Efficiency: You can save time by working with an agency recruiter! Instead of applying to numerous positions individually, you can rely on recruiters to connect you to relevant job opportunities. This streamlines the job search process. ★ Long-Term Relationships: Building a relationship with a recruiter can be beneficial beyond a single job search. Recruiters will often keep candidates in their database for future opportunities, making it easier to find new roles down the line. So, if you’re on the lookout for your next career move, consider partnering with me to enhance your job search experience! 🌟 #hiringnow #bridgwaterjobs #pertemps
