You don't need anyone's 'permission' to write your book. You don't need another qualification or more fancy letters after your name (if any!) You don't need to do another course or another training module. You don't need to seek permission from followers, peers or your mum. You just need to give YOURSELF permission to write it. IMHO, the only prerequisites to writing a book are experience and knowledge. How much experience and how you obtained that knowledge isn't a prohibitive factor. Are there parts of the book that you might need to do further research for? Sure. Could you invite experts to be contributors? Most definitely. But if you have advice and expertise in your niche that others would find helpful and valuable, that's enough. YOU are enough. So stop waiting for permission - whatever that may look like for you. Just write. -------------------------------- 😀 Hi! "the only prerequisites to writing a book are experience and knowledge" This is so true. Even if someone with a degree wrote a book, it'd be lacking without experience and knowledge. Even better, experience sells, because most people will take that over facts and figures or data they can't easily decipher.
This is so true - both for non-fiction and fiction 😊
This is absolutely true. Whatever you write won't have value to pass on without experience and knowledge. And you certainly have an experience you could share that someone could learn from.
‘Just write!’ - I might take heed of this piece of advice… one day!
Feeling quite inspired - thanks Steph!
