Stephanie White’s Post

If you’re on duty today like we are: I hope your shift chef knows what they’re doing, and your fryer fires are all before your food coma kicks in. If you’re working OT today because it’s more comfortable than being off duty… we’ve all been there at one point. Do what you’ve gotta do and enjoy today. If you’re at a family gathering and the vibe is absolutely draining you: it’s ok to peace out early. Chinese food and crashing the post turkey slumber party in the dayroom is good for the soul. Thanksgiving has always been a moment for me to pause and look at the different places my life has taken me over the years. Some were the exact descriptions above, and some were warm moments surrounded by loved ones. It’s a reminder to stand still for a few moments and acknowledge where you’ve been and where you know you want to go. Wherever you are today in life I hope you can find a few laughs and moments of peace. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Keep fighting the good fight and holding the line! You’re making it better for those that follow and keep having the hard conversations so others can be better!

I can remember stopping in at one of the many fire stations on several Thanksgiving days. And, I will admit, firefighters have the Thanksgiving feast worked out. The food is amazing and there was always a little extra for the officers who 'happen' to wander in.

Stay safe... Have a good shift. One of the things I am thankful for is the men and women who keep our communities safe regardless of the day of the year. Thank you for your service, thank you for being at work today to protect your community.

Stay Safe Out There 🙏🏻
