Last week, I was honored to attend the inaugural Humanoid Summit, which brought together robotics community leaders, investors, startup founders, and business/industry leaders to shape the future of humanoid commercialization. The humanoid industry is fascinating; however, still emerging. Standards are still being written and most use cases are still in concept, but remarkable nonetheless. A few of my Humanoid Summit highlights: The Mirokai humanoid, by Enchanted Tools stole my heart. The Mirokai are human-centric robots are not only super darn cute, they provide comfort care within the pediatric oncology industry and are deployed in other social environments. The Mirokai may have ultimately stolen my heart, but NEO was a close second. You see, NEO has human-like movements which makes him capable of taking the burden of household chores off of us lazy, I mean, busy humans. NEO will even brew your coffee. NEO can also be a Bus Dev rep, in fact, he rolled over to me on his own and handed me his business card. As soon as I spotted San Antonio's own Ryan Saavedra and the Alt-Bionics, Inc. team, it was only second nature that I would become Kris Jenner, snapping a million photos of the Alt-Bionics team in action while proudly saying "you're doing great, sweeties!". Ryan and the Alt-Bionics "The Surge Hand" are becoming quite popular in the Humanoid Industry. Congrats guys! Ironically, my favorite part of robotics conferences are not the robots, its the people. I met and heard from some truly remarkable folks, whose dedication and commitment to advancing the industry is truly unmatched. I also had the chance to catch up with some of the amazing people that I've met over the years through the global robotics community, who have all been so supportive of the San Antonio robotics ecosystem - Aaron Prather, Andra Keay, Allison Thackston, Revati Naik. And to you, Modar Alaoui, I can't thank you enough for the invitation, I am truly grateful to have had this opportunity. Blessed to also have the support of Port San Antonio behind me.
