We are grateful to have welcomed the Unit of #Industry5.0& AI in Science from #DGR&I European Commission at our premises yesterday! It was an excellent opportunity for the policy makers, our researchers and industry partners Axelera AI & Prodrive Technologies to closely engage in deep conversations on future industrial policy and AI developments. Few take aways: 💡Universities are generating groundbreaking scientific knowledge and #cooperationwithindustry is key in taking this knowledge into applications and transform it into marketable products, good and services; 💡Universities are orchestrators of #regionalinnovationecosystems bringing the stakeholders together, creating value for the region and much beyond #4thGenerationUniversity 💡AI should be a tool to enhance our capabilities and develop it in regulatory environments that is safe for deployment. Universities are in a unique position to provide examples as we develop AI models with industry. 💡Europe needs to invest more focussed and by doing this, it keeps innovation going into a substantial way!
