I hate resolutions. I HATE RESOLUTIONS. Forget the resolutions, the rules, and the pressure to have it all figured out by January 1st. All of the above (even if it's what everyone else does) is a recipe for walking into January under pressure and more stressed than ever. It’s not about making resolutions we all forget by February. Seeing a whole lot of ‘allow me to introduce myself’ posts here recently… so heres my rhyme… 📼 🎧 Let me re-introduce myself, raise them beers, James Vickery been doing MSP for more than 20 years, Back in '01 on my birthday flight, I Know IT was born, ready to ignite. From a tiny shop fixing breaks and faults, To a mid-sized MSP, locking down those vaults. But the margins shrank, and frustration grew, Commoditization bit, and profits flew. Took a risk, went offshore, had to try my luck, 2016 rolled around, fortunes struck. Revenue doubled, margins tripled too, Found a winning formula, broke on through. Then came Benchmark 365, a new venture's rise, An outsourced helpdesk, a market surprise. Subscription model, MSPs gave a nod, Thousands reached out, against all odds. Penned 'Infinite Scale' in twenty-eighteen, A guide for MSPs to keep their profits lean. But life threw curves, in tragedy's shade, Stepped back, focused on the family trade. Then COVID’s storm hit, unexpected spike, Through resilience and teams, we continued to strike. So here's to the journey, the ups and the downs, In the world of IT, we’ve worn many crowns. ✌️
