By now, I have watched this interview at least five times and every single time I watch I find something new. Let me now focus on three secret career tips embedded in the video. I hope you find them useful too. a) Embrace your college years as a time to learn critical thinking, synthesizing and the art of curiosity. "University of Chicago, perhaps more than any other educational experience, taught me how to think, how to synthesize and how to be relentlessly curious. It was really positive," Vas said. b) Early in your career, seek opportunities that broaden your skillset. Reflecting on his transition from medicine to business, Vas shared, "McKinsey was a great training ground for a physician who didn't know anything about a P&L or balance sheet; knew nothing about M&A or valuation. I learnt a lot very quickly." c) Leadership is rooted in trust. You must believe in your team's ability to make sound decisions for the company.
