Life lessons often come from unexpected places. Here are a few that have stuck with me: ✔️ Everything is figureoutable. Even when things feel overwhelming or bleak, they tend to work themselves out in time. ✔️ Things aren’t what bring joy - people and experiences do. Prioritize those. (This is why you’ll find me at a Dave Matthews Band concert pretty often!). ✔️ You’ll always be your toughest critic. Instead of doubting yourself, take the leap. You might surprise yourself. ✔️ Some critics will root for your failure because it justifies their own inaction. Don’t let that stop you. Smiling at strangers is a surprisingly simple way to brighten your day (and theirs). Which one of these resonates most with you and which others would you add? #bestadvice #motivation #professionaldevelopment

All of your insights resonate with me because I tried to live by them. But, I need to be reminded at times. During this holiday season, it is important to focus on people and experiences, not things, to get true joy. Unfortunately, it is easy to get caught up in the material things, since it often gives us temporary pleasure. But that fades quickly. But enjoyable experiences and good interactions with others will bring longer lasting joy. Thanks for sharing them.

All of them, frankly! Ignoring the critics gets you closer to realizing how true number one on your list is and how the universe is pushing you in the direction you need.

All of them, but this year … everything is figureoutable takes the lead. 😎

Great list. I like "everything is figureoutable". Because (a) it's a cool word, (b) it's true, and (c) it means so many different things. It means if at first you don't succeed, try again. It means have confidence. It means keep learning. it means persevere. It means if you can't figure something out, try looking at it in a different way. It means don't worry what others think. It means, plan for the long term, not the short term. It means "you got this". It means it's never too late to learn new skills. And so on....

Stefanie Marrone, I am going to make "figureoutable" my word of the day. I have always been excited to try new things. I like to say, "I've never done this before, but I'm excited to learn how." Your way of saying that is much more succinct 😀.

The critic one. When I played college football, my head coach mentioned this about me post season. It had always stuck with me. Great list, btw.

Stefanie Marrone as a lawyer “Everything is figureoutable” resonates deeply. But I have to say the other three points are very close behind. You have drafted one of the most brilliant posts I have ever read. You are right on point! Thanks for sharing Stephanie! 👏👏👏

These are so true and I love the one you started with - because that's the one I have to remind myself of whenever things are tough. We've made it through all of the mistakes and hard times so far, we'll do it again!
