Shining today’s #SpotlightMondays on an OG Indian start-up - iD Fresh Food (India) Pvt. Ltd. It's remarkable how ID Fresh has seamlessly woven itself into our daily lives, so much so that we sometimes forget that it is a #startup! Started in 2005 by Musthafa P., iD fresh is the story of a simple idea, executed brilliantly. Musthafa, alongwith his four cousins, started the brand with a mission to deliver fresh idlis/ dosa batter to Indian households. Over time, the brand extended to other read to cook categories - vada batter, Parathas, filter coffee and more. Infact they recently further expanded the range to include curd, paneer, butter and breads. Their #revenue for FY23 was ~$60mn, with a net loss of $4mn. In the 19 years of being operational, they have raised close to $119mn and are currently valued at $275mn. Their scale of operations is simply mind-boggling: 1. Present in 35,000 offline retail points across 45 cities 2. Their daily sales are equivalent to cooking 2.5mn delicious Idlis every day! 3. They are available in 6+ countries globally, with #international markets contributing a third of their sales iD fresh has long been synonymous with fresh and consistent quality in batter and coffee - it has been my go-to brand for as long as I can remember. However I found the quality of some of their new categories to be underwhelming, specially their dairy range. While I understand that the brand is trying to own the breakfast time in a household, is going from batter to dairy really in their operational wheelhouse? Only time will tell. Nevertheless, Kudos to Musthafa and the entire iD Fresh team for crafting one of the most enduring and beloved brands in the startup ecosystem.

🚀 Seeking Strategic Investors for "The Street Food" – Revolutionizing India's Street Food Industry! 🍽️ I’m thrilled to share an exciting opportunity with investors who are passionate about innovation in the food industry! As the founder of "The Street Food", a platform dedicated to organizing and empowering street food vendors across India, I am looking for strategic partners to join me in this journey. 🌍🍴 Why Invest in The Street Food? India's street food culture is massive, vibrant, and full of untapped potential. However, the industry remains largely unorganized, and there’s a tremendous opportunity to create an efficient, tech-driven platform that connects vendors with consumers. Our Vision: Empowering Street Vendors: Our platform gives street vendors the tools to reach more customers by showcasing their offerings and enabling them to receive and manage orders efficiently. User Engagement: Consumers will be able to discover and explore local street food options, place pickup orders, and support local vendors. Scalable Business Model: Starting with an MVP, we’re onboarding 100 vendors in a local market to test user engagement. From there, we aim to scale regionally and nationally, attracting both users and vendors. What Sets Us Apart: Localized Focus: Unlike mainstream food delivery services, we are focusing on local street food vendors with the goal of giving them a digital presence and improving customer access. Future Growth Opportunities: As we grow, we envision incorporating additional services like third-party delivery, digital payments, and even street food events or festivals, driving even greater user and vendor engagement. Why Now? Unprecedented Growth: With the increasing adoption of technology and online platforms in India, now is the perfect time to bring street food vendors into the digital age. Market Demand: Consumers are eager to discover local flavors, and vendors are ready to scale their operations with the right tools. Scalability: Starting small, our long-term goal is to scale across cities and regions, creating an organized street food ecosystem that can be expanded globally. We are currently seeking investors who share our passion for food innovation and are looking to make a lasting impact on one of the most dynamic sectors of the Indian economy. Interested in learning more? Let’s connect! I’d love to discuss the vision, strategy, and the exciting potential this venture holds. #investmentopportunity #foodtech #streetfood #innovation #entrepreneurship #startups #localbusiness #investors
