I don't usually re-post the DNB//Back Bay weekly market update but wanted to reiterate one observation. The Madrigal announcement is noteworthy as it is reflective of both the challenge and promise of our biotechnology space. A disease is noted and newly described, research begins into causation as well as potential solutions, capital enters and then failures ensue and capital retreats. But the perseverance of scientists, clinicians, companies, and capital renders a solution which then becomes life changing. The time sequence is usually decades. Had an amazing trip to the 2nd Government Biotechnology Innovation Summit.
