Effective irrigation is essential for healthy cassava growth, but it’s important to note that cassava’s drought tolerance means watering needs can vary depending on local climate and soil conditions. Understanding the right timing and frequency of watering can significantly boost your crop’s productivity and vitality. #farmerlife #farminglife #sustainablefarming #organicfarming #agriculturetechnique #farmingtechnique #urbanfarming #ruralfarming #farminginnigeria #ruralagriculture #crops #fertilizer #organicfertilizer #cassava #ricefields #cowpeas #oilpalmplantation #maizefarming #cocoafarm #vegetableseeds #vegetablefarm #farmclearing #farmproduce #cropprotectionproducts

#ClimateChange have greatly altered the weather pattern of different regions of the world. In south -east Nigeria for instance, there is erratic weather. There has been scanty rainfall since the onset of the rainy season this year. Up till the last week of May 2024, fields are still dry, valleys and streams are still dry, farmlands has formed cakes and our crops are dying. This is unusual. Those responsible for aggravating #ClimateCrisis through unwholesome practices should think twice. We have no other planet to go when we destroy the earth.
Changing weather patterns, reduced precipitation and devastating flash floods are affecting agriculture in Batikot, Afghanistan. FAO is supporting local farmers with a new irrigation canal ensuring easier access to water and to irrigate their lands. #WorldWaterForum

I wonder if anyone is looking into a connection between the water companies dumping sewage into rivers and waterways. As E Coli etc is commonly found in waterways and irrigation systems. animal fecee on soil grown field crops is an issue also the water used for irrigation has been highlighted. just my thoughts as dumping the sewage has to have disease issues attached to it and this will find its way into the ground water. love to hear your thoughts #water #Hydroponic, #Salads #sustainability

When an unexpected but urgent situation arose on a farm an hour out of Toowoomba, where the dam began leaking gallons of water, immediate and effective assistance was crucial to prevent the loss of an entire year's worth of water essential for irrigation. Scour Tech International had the privilege of assisting Waters Marine and Commercial Marine Group to mitigate the potential water loss. The response involved several key steps: Waters Marine and Commercial Marine Group identified the source of the leak and evaluated the structural integrity of the dam. An emergency plan was swiftly formulated which included immediate measures to stop the leak. Commercial Marine Group contacted Scour Tech to provide grout bags to be placed in the areas where cracks had formed and to plug the cracks. 5 grout bags were used and successfully installed with the help from a diver and owner of Waters Marine, James Middleton. This was a short term solution until the farmer could properly repair the dam. Through swift action and expert planning, Commercial Marine Group provided the expertise in engineering on how to immediately stop the leakage. The urgent project was successfully handled, preserving the vital water supply needed for the farm's irrigation and ensuring the sustainability of the farm #scourtechinternational #watersmarine #commercialmarinegroup #groutbags
