Our industry is on the brink of much-needed, accurate representation of Hispanic community when it comes to currencies. The time is now for the whole industry to act. Roberto Ruiz, EVP, Research, Strategy & Insights shares more on its importance: “The U.S. Hispanic audience deserves fair and accurate representation in the currency we all use to transact media. Panel-only measurement fails to represent our audience, undercounting and undervaluing Hispanics by more than 20 percent–even within broad demographics. Panel + big data currencies are a huge step forward in accurately representing U.S. Hispanics, who make up over half of the country’s population growth and represent the bulk of future growth for brands.”

Alright, listen up. It's a no-brainer that the Hispanic population isn't a single, uniform group. We're talking about a dynamic, diverse community. Big data has a Herculean task: how do we propel first-generation Hispanics to success, slash high school dropout rates, and amplify higher education attainment in the second and third generations by 100x? These folks are the future backbone of the United States. Anyone who's read "Latino Boom II: Catch the Biggest Demographic Wave Since the Baby Boom" gets it. The numbers don't lie; this is the demographic shift of our era. We must change our language from "They" to "We." This isn't about "them"; it's about "us." "We the People" includes everyone, and the more we embrace this mindset, the stronger we become as a nation. Yes, it's ambitious, even seemingly impossible, but we've got to strive for it. And let's not forget that Roberto is a standout—brilliant and a leading voice in this space. We need to pay attention and follow his lead. Now, let's get to work.
