I’m a big believer in data analytics and how it can help you shape your next business plan or focus those efforts. But this does not simply mean reviewing the numerical results. The reason you need someone with a background in marketing to analyze marketing and CRM or pipeline data is because they understand how the background data is gathered, its sources, its accuracy, its story. Don’t forget about the years of background experience sometimes needed to understand what the product is really telling you or how much you can trust its accuracy or even do to improve the next set of results. This job is probably 85-90 data auditing and edit and 10% reporting if you really want to have valuable data analysis. You cant really have everything in this article without that. Just food for thought.
