🌟 Reflecting on My Role: More Than Just a Title 🌟 Almost three months into my new journey, my new role has beautifully evolved. Today, I'm more than excited to share the essence of my day-to-day activities, which might surprise some of you. I've taken on the responsibilities that align closely with an "Accounts Receivable Coordinator" or, more broadly, a "Financial Operations Coordinator" 💼📊 Each day, my routine is a mix of diligence and coordination: • I start by checking the safe for any cash drop-offs from the previous day. • Managing all incoming payments is next, ensuring everything is meticulously recorded in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and LeafLink, not to forget logging each detail in my spreadsheets. 🧾💻 • The day also involves depositing checks, scheduling cash pickups, and preparing cash for any Cash on Delivery (COD) orders our processing teams might need. 💰🔄 This role requires a blend of accuracy, organization, and financial acumen, ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently. It's a role that keeps me on my toes, always ready for the day's challenges and opportunities. 🚀✨ Grateful for the trust and the opportunity to grow in this direction, I look forward to continuing to contribute to our team's success and financial health. I never expected Shiny object syndrome to show up in this way. We're onboarding a huge customer and had to go through their supplier onboarding process. That means lots of questions about the product, our leadership, security, etc. The software they use is almost just Content Snare but an enterprise version (aka awful to use and ugly af). Given the size of this company, I can only imagine they were paying an insane amount for it. It seems every other week I see another way Content Snare could be used. But in reality, chasing new stuff is dumb when we have a clear direction in accounting & bookkeeping.

Splitting time is good, but it's not enough We started small, launching a basic plugin to quietly track time spent on different projects. We rolled it out to gather initial feedback from our clients. The accounting firms we focused on quickly showed us that simply tracking hours per client just scratches the surface. They juggle a wide mix of clients and apps, where each action carries unique value - depending on both the client and the task. Our team took on the challenge. We’re not just splitting time; we’re adding meaning to it.
