What a day! Our St Cuthbert's Hospice Christmas Fair saw so many people battle the snow to make the day a success! ❄️ We welcomed around 1000 people to New College Durham and are delighted to let you know that we have raised over £7,300! We really couldn’t do what we do without the support of so many dedicated Hospice volunteers, supporters and donors. A huge thank you to New College Durham for hosting us and for the kind support of their staff and students who volunteered their time. We'd also like to thank Stephenson College, Durham University, Durham University Student Volunteering and Outreach, Denise Brooksbank, Stuart Wright Funeral Service, Keeeeep Rocking for St.Cuthbert's Hospice, Durham Merryoaks WI, Belmont Knitters and Natter, Croxdale Community Centre, Ian Watt, Ramside Hall, Bowburn Hall Hotel, The Croft Hotel, Julie Dobson, Mortons Law, Malcolm Rolling, Imagine a cake, The Durham Brewery Ltd, True North Emporium, Diane Phoroah, Bespoke Tea Rooms, Market Hall Wines, BAKO Group, Yvonne Walker, The Canny Chocolate Company, Catherine Hall, Hilda Birch, Durham Art Club, Margaret Rose Events, Elizabeth English, Greggs, Barclays UK Community Social, Sainsbury’s Newcastle Road & Maggies Made. Thanks to Rock Choir North East for their fantastic musical performances! A big thanks to all of the local businesses who acted as ‘donation drop off stations’ before the fair: Newcastle Building Society, Bako, New College Durham, Bespoke, Luxe Hair Salon Witton Gilbert, London Hair Company, Durham University ACS Department and The Woodman Inn Durham, plus all of our charity shops. A massive thank you to all those who kindly and skillfully crafted hand-made gifts and sweet treats for sale at the fair and to all of our stallholders for coming along to join us ❤️ And finally, a big thanks to our fantastic Santa, elves and reindeer and our Community and Events Team, plus Hospice Volunteers for all of their hard work in making the day such an enjoyable day!
