"I wish I had known you years ago, Doctor," Ma Alice said during our phone call few days back. "My mum would have surely still been alive. She was a strong and hardworking woman," she continued, her tone heavy with regret. Ma Alice was referred to our MindLab Health program by a friend who had undergone a remarkable health transformation after a couple of weeks into our program. Even after witnessing these results, it took her a while to reach out and start the program. A month later, the body aches, low energy, sleepless nights and frequent headache had completely disappeared. Before starting her heath journey, she thought she was doomed to live of drugs for the rest of her life. How did she move from a life of pain to wishing her mother had met me? The answer is surprisingly simple: we changed her meals and followed up daily to ensure she adhered to the program. Had she met me five years ago, I might have prescribed a multitude of drugs. Fortunately, the frustration of seeing this cycle repeat pushed me to find a better approach.
