💡 The ideal company size is 5 - anything bigger and you fail 🧐 Having worked in multiple startups including now FOUND, in a midsized (but global) firm and a Fortune 500 company, I’ve always been intrigued by what the ideal company size is. 🏎️ Arthur Mensch (CEO of Mistral AI, who just announced another mega-raise of 600m EUR) argues that a team of 5 is much faster than a team of 50 - unless you create 10 teams of 5 and these teams are sufficiently uncoupled. 🚧 Our advisory board member Roland Philippsen - with his experience from startups (who turned into unicorns) to giants like Google - goes as far to say that the Dunbar number of 150 is a natural limit to the efficient size of an organization.
