In Dubai, the future is built daily by the visionary leadership of the city. Dubai has created a friendly and streamlined business environment that encourages entrepreneurs, investors, and startups to establish their presence in the city. I strongly believe tax advantages are just one of the many reasons why a lot of business people choose Dubai for their international enterprises. There are many initiatives launched every quarter to incentivize the growth of the city and attract foreign investments. One example is the Foreign Direct Investment Development Program. This programs aims to inject AED 25 Billion in the economic system over the next 10 years so that the city can attract AED 650 Billion in investments. ENTREPRENEURIAL SUCCESS Last month I had the opportunity to share the Dariush Soudi #GladiatorSummit stage with SEIF EL HAKIM (The Alpha), Timur Kudratov and John Davy for a panel discussion moderated by Lachlan Kitchen. We discussed the importance of mindset, dealing with challenges, common traps, success strategies , the importance of continuous learning, the power of networking , the UAE business landscape, resilience , brand building and the importance of taking care of your mind and body. YES - we covered a lot and could have extended our discussion for hours! Reflecting on the questions I was asked I see many valuable lessons from water that entrepreneurs would benefit from. Here's three of them .. 1. Embracing Change : Water adapts to its surroundings. Entrepreneurship involves embracing change and unlocking new possibilities by flowing with the currents of life rather than resisting it. 2. Facing Challenges : Water teaches us the power of perseverance in the face of adversity. Like a river carving it's path through rugged terrain entrepreneurship involves finding new ways to overcome obstacles and emerge stronger on the other side. 3. Building Resilience: The ebb and flow of water mirrors the highs and lows of the human experience. With resilience we can weather life's storms with courage and a calm optimistic focus , emerging stronger and wiser with every experience.
