Imagine a world where everyone is celebrated for being exactly who they are. That's what "Born Original" is all about at SPARC. We're not just a program provider; we're an organization who believes that our eccentricities, talents, and unique personalities make us special. Whether we're throwing paint on canvas in art sessions or kicking it in high-energy athletic adventure, SPARC is a place where everyone – from adolescents to teens to senior adults – can be themselves. At SPARC, we think everyone deserves a slice of the joy that comes from connecting with others in their community. That's why we set up our programs with your abilities in mind, making sure everyone can jump into the fun and create some awesome memories that scream, "This is me!" We're not here to fit into molds; we're here to break them (and have a blast while doing it!) Being "Born Original" is our way of saying, "Hey, be YOU, and be proud of it!" It's not just a tagline; it's a high-five to your individuality. So, next time you're with us, know that you're not just part of a program; you're part of a crew that's all about embracing what makes you, well, YOU! 🌟💖 #BornOriginal #SPARCFam #CelebratingUniqueness #BeYou #BeProud

Communities across America have a problem. As tradespeople are retiring and fewer youth are entering the trades, contractors and homeowners are facing a shortage of skills and experience. Now is the time for communities to mobilize to ensure the transfer of knowledge to the next generation. Industrial arts programs in middle and high schools are rare these days. In years past young students were introduced to vocations where they could enter the workforce without a college degree. The option to explore a life in the trades is missing for many American youth. TradesUp is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building the next generation of hands-on creators, makers, and tradespeople. It is our duty and privilege to reverse misperceptions of what a career in the trades can offer by inviting a new, more diverse generation into our community through hands-on events, educational programs, and community engagement. To help us achieve our mission, become a partner today: www.tradesup.org/donate

Thought I’d use “National Camera Rental House Appreciation Day” as an opportunity to share some recent work for Foster-SF https://lnkd.in/gxTteZxd PSA’s are always challenging. In my opinion, they offer more collaboration as everyone is doing it for the cause and for the relationships we’ve developed (and who roped us in 😜 ). I always take the call from Division of Labor https://lnkd.in/gsKRpzDr no matter what it is. As a d.p. and sometime director/dp, they are manna from heaven. Good Creative from Good People- I just made that up… but it fits. When playing d.p. my next call is always the camera rental house (sorry gaffers and AC’s). In the world of d.p.’s who own gear, I choose not to. Sure I lose work cuz I can’t cut the deals but I was always trained with the phrase: “right tool for the right job”. My hammer may not be right for your nail. With so many new lenses and old rehoused lenses coming on the market, camera systems & formats changing annually, having a rental house as a creative collaborator is beyond important. In fact, it’s what I can offer a project: access to a collaborator who can concierge the sh*t out of your camera needs. For Foster-SF I reached out to the SF Bay Area’s two major rental houses hat in hand, Chater Camera www.chatercamera.com and Videofax www.videofax.com to see if they could help out with this budgetarily challenged project. Ultimately Mona and Nick at Videofax were able to make things work for us but not after both Jay and Erin at Chater Camera put in some work to see if they could help and still made sure I was covered. I felt like a well-loved child of divorce. As a d.p. you always need to consider the tools that are available. Every job is different, every budget, every client. For Foster-SF, I was effectively working alone. Handheld for 2 days, pulling my own focus, doing my own lighting. I had a great camera intern and the stills guy brought his 4 lights… that’s it! I am chuffed to have access to two rental houses who are constantly scouring and researching the latest and newest camera gear. Stocking their shelves with options I could never afford….and guaranteeing that it all works the way you need it to when you hit roll. Gear maintenance, sensor cleaning, lens calibrating, filter cleaning…it’s a thing they do and they do it every day. I knew that Mona and Nick had my back. They were a phone call away if it all went south. It’s a very tough time out there in our industry. So, on this National Camera Rental House Appreciation Day, a shout out to one of the behind-the-scenes collaborators who keep our industry fueled. dir: Josh Denberg producer: Julie Costanzo editor: Doug Brown AC: Abby Alcala color grading: Ivan Miller

People experiencing ‘sudden wealth’ can very easily end up being vulnerable as a result of their unexpected changed circumstances, and often need a professional safe pair of hands to ensure they achieve a good outcome. Examples that our team at Matrix Capital Limited has dealt with include a young athlete who received a large payout for a brain injury, a 92 year old widow winning a jackpot prize, a 50 year old lady being suddenly widowed and receiving significant death benefits and a business owner, who managed to sell his business for £14m, after years of sacrifice. Very different scenarios that all needed a highly specialised approach to make sure that technical issues were properly addressed and with an empathetic safe pair of hands. The other important component to helping ‘sudden wealth’ clients navigate the potential hazards they face, is meaningful collaboration with other suitably qualified professional advisers, typically private client lawyers. I am very proud of our team at Matrix Capital; technically capable, experienced and focussed on doing the right things every day for our clients, with a heightened awareness of vulnerabilities and being a safe pair of hands. It was very gratifying to receive a great testimonial from Andrew Pike, Head of Intermediary Relationships at NS&I for our professional work with Premium Bonds Jackpot prize winners. 🙏 #FinancialPlanning STEP – Advising Families Across Generations The Association of Lifetime Lawyers RQ Society of Later Life Advisers
