✨ Internship Reflection: Visual Designer at Kenko AI India India✨ I'm thrilled to share that I recently completed a 3-month Visual Design internship at Bookee! This experience allowed me to deepen my design skills and work alongside an inspiring team dedicated to crafting impactful visual experiences. During my internship, I had the chance to: Design engaging visual elements for specific projects, and in-app interfaces, Email templates, Journey Templates, Motion artifacts for Halloween, and Play more with illustrations. Refine my skills in industry-standard tools like Figma and After Effects, and the design systems. I am grateful for the guidance and mentorship I received from my Design team (Vishwajeet Singh Bhadouria Swetha K. Kovil Singh Sanjukta Singha👩🚀✨ Tanisha Varshney ) who helped me grow both professionally and personally. This experience has reinforced my passion for visual design, and I’m excited to bring these new skills to future projects! And Bangalore felt like a home 💞 What did I learn from this 3 month internship ? It's going to be half a year, since I started my career from an Agricultural background to Design. It's been a mix of excitement, challenges and non-stop learning. For any freshers (Still I'm) or any aspirant designers out there, here are some things I wish I had known at the start - hopefully these tips will help you navigate your first crucial months more smoothly. 💡 Ask Questions Often : You won't know everything - nobody knows and that's okay 👍. Speak up when you are stuck or unsure. It saves time and shows initiative. People appreciate curiosity more than silence. 💬 Build a strong Communication Habit: Communication is one of the most important skill set for everyone. And your work doesn't end with the design, you need to communicate or explain your work to your team. Also, sync more with the Dev team just to avoid rework and also to know some backend processes. (I lacked) 💔 🛠️ Mastering the Basics: Don't just only focus on the aesthetics of the design. Also, consider some rules and Basics of the Design system, to make it more acceptable and reliable to the end user. Bonus points if you learn shortcuts in Software (Figma/ XD). Every minute counts.. 🤝 Feedbacks: Get frequent feedback from your senior designers or some time from the product team. Importantly, know your strengths and weaknesses in design. And work on them. Note: Not everything you design will get approved. Design Evolves. 🍀 Stay Humble, Stay Positive : There will be tough days, but stay humble and don't overreact at every moment. If it is yours, it will reach you at one point. Keep improving day by day & Trust the journey & Believe in the Universe. Nothing is permanent here.

Here’s a few thoughts I had about this job posting. These thoughts are mine and does not target anyone. Please do apply for this if you are seeking internship opportunity. Potential Red Flags: 1.“100% available, no moonlighting and consultant work”: Indicates a high level expectation of commitment for an internship, which can be unreasonable, especially given the nature of internships. 2.“Performance linked stipend”: This implies that the compensation is not fixed and could be very low or even non-existent if performance metrics are not met. This could be a significant concern. 3.Lack of Company Information: This posting does not mention the name of the company, its location, or any background information. 4.Ambiguous Internship Duration: The internship duration is stated as “3 months, max 9 months.” The lack of a clear duration can make planning difficult for candidates. 5.Potential to become FTE: This is often used to attract candidates but can sometimes be an empty promise if the company’s track record of converting interns to full-time employees is unclear. It would be great if a few things could be mentioned in a better way for designers/students. P.S - Reposted this here so I could get my fellow designers thoughts on this. #jobopportunity #designjobs
