We were blown away by the energy at Slush 2024! Thank you Angela Dalton, Arron Goolsbey and Le Zhang for the great discussion on UGC and decentralized marketplaces for game devs. And of course, our CEO Marc Seal for championing Sortium's vision. Let's keep helping the builders build. ⛏️

Josh Sorenson and the rest of our Systems Squad have become some of the most crucial folks we have on TheSquad. The kind of things they are dreaming up and building is just mind blowing. Creating and hiring a team of folks who solely focus on creating and maintaining our systems and automations (including AI integrations) was one of the biggest game changers for TheSquad as a primarily creative agency. If you don’t already have at least one person on your team who’s sole focus is building systems and automations for your organization, you are already behind! What have been some of the biggest “game changing” new departments or positions you have added to your organization/company?
We hosted our first Systems Squad hackathon recently. I gave Anachelle Casandra Famero, Brian Watson, and Jacob V. context but left it wide open for them to come up with ideas. The response when we sat down with the C-Suite today to present our ideas was amazing! Love working at Church Media Squad where innovation isn’t just encouraged but it is also celebrated. Kudos to Michael Tuszynski, Bennett Tobias, and Susannah Houk for trusting me to lead this crazy bunch.

🎉First Hackathon Adventure: Alphabyte 1.0 We have just completed our first hackathon experience, which has been marked by learning, creativity and teamwork. Although we didn’t make it pass Round 1, every challenge along the way has taught us a lot and helped to improve upon our skills. My teammates Aman Yadav Yash Patel shantanu chaubey deserve special appreciation for their support and team spirit. It was a great privilege to go through this inaugural hackathon together turning stumbling blocks into growth opportunities. Code creativity collaboration is what binds us as a unit. This goes beyond being a milestone; it is where all of our future tech ventures will start. #Alphabyte1.0 #GrowthMindset #TeamSuccess #Hackathon

It was just a month ago...To recap our amazing journey during the Degen House Hackathon, we have prepared a short behind-the-scenes video to give you an insight into our experience. We are happy to remind you that we won the top prize in the "Best Business Project" category, sponsored by PKO Bank Polski 🏆 Our winning project, BULLetproof, is an innovative decentralized platform designed to track inventory purchase orders from SIRA-compliant entities. In addition, we developed a state-of-the-art loyalty mobile app that not only allows you to confirm your ownership of shares in various companies but also rewards you with discounts based on the number of shares you own📈 🔗For more detailed information on our project, you are cordially invited to visit our project page here: https://lnkd.in/dSMwP-2m 🔗See our efforts and hard work to make BULLetproof a reality. We’re excited to announce a Poe hackathon on April 6th around our upcoming creator monetization system: price per message! Attendees will get first access to the ability to set a per-message price for their bots and generate revenue every time a user messages them. With price per message, users will see the price expressed in terms of the same compute points that they are used to on Poe, and points will count toward their existing daily or monthly budget as a free Poe user or paid subscriber. Being able to reliably generate revenue with every message allows developers creating bots with significant GPU inference costs or API costs to build sustainable, profitable businesses, and we are excited to see the ecosystem this enables. This hackathon is in partnership with Cerebral Valley and SHACK15, and will feature a keynote from Adam D'Angelo and includes hands-on support from the Poe team. If you’re in the Bay Area, come build a bot and monetize it: https://lnkd.in/gXG_Ya_j

Had fun at another hackathon last weekend! My team - Kristine Lam, Jeffrey Li, and Josiah Castillo - and I got 2nd place at the TIDAL Hackathon hosted by tidaltamu. The theme for this hackathon was vehicle safety. Our idea, which we call Raspberry Ride, was to build a system that talks to the driver and provide assistance/emotional support when they get drowsy or distracted. To do so, we built an LLM-based chatbot with text-to-speech that starts speaking to the driver once we detect that they start swerving/driving poorly - which is done using a Raspberry Pi accelerometer. We went and collected some accelerometer data and trained a logistic regression classifier that predicts whether the driver is distracted based on a 3-second window. We tried our best to make it feel as real-time as possible, so we used streaming from both GPT and ElevenLabs APIs. We also used a local instance of Whisper for automatic speech recognition from the driver. Check out our presentation: https://lnkd.in/g6b8maqV

Hello everyone, Very happy to share that I recently participated in a incredible hackathon. This gave me opportunity to explore and develop new skills. AlphaByte 1.0 provided a platform to showcase skills and helps in further betterment. Working as a team and interacting with other members was also an amazing experience. A big shoutout to my teammates Sudhakar Jha, Rahul Nair and Shreeram Sawant for their co-ordination and efforts. Learned many new things from this hackathon such as problem-solving and decision making, etc. Also helped in meeting new people and learning from them. #hackathon #softwaredevelopment
