Want to know a non obvious reason why speed to lead is important? Why vendor with the first interaction usually wins?... Most companies have competitors. Use cases and functionality typically converge, and so does that Aha moment. The moment that gets customers excited. When it clicks. When they see a new capability for the first time. The customer will only experience this Aha moment once. ONCE. With the first vendor that they talk to. And from there on, they will associate that Aha moment to that brand. That's why that vendor wins. If you're 2nd, the customer has already experienced it. It's no where near as special anymore.

My advice to an IT buyer, work with tech vendors who can provide Ethos (Credibility), Logos (Logic) and Pathos (Emotion) How? Test them in their: ♥ Empathetic understanding of your challenges & roadblocks to success 🔬 Ask for evidence/credibility via trusted 3rd party evidence and support Layered chain of logic: 💲 Tangible hard costs (licenses/services) 💻 Impact to your teams (productivity drain/poor value add) 💹 Impact to your customers (falling behind market/ poor retention) 🎯 Clear alignment to your priorities and objectives 📢 For the sellers out there, it's easier when you work for a market leader and category defining org. 🔑 However, not everyone has that advantage.
