Accredited Coach & Counsellor | Helping You Overcome Barriers, Tackle Burnout, and Make Decisions | Empowering Practical Strategies for Personal Growth

This is a really interesting comment and really highlights the perk of working with a dual-qualified practitioner; as I am also trained as a therapist, I am experienced in holding space for clients to explore trauma and work through this to make progress towards their goals. Dual-qualified coaches are the future 💥

Coach Supervisor & Career Coach for HSPs | ICF PCC

At least 30% of client cases that coaches bring to supervision require a trauma-informed approach. You might think this isn’t a high percentage, but keeping in mind that coaching doesn’t deal with trauma, it means that there’s a 30% chance to have to navigate highly sensitive and delicate matters that we haven’t been thoroughly trained on. If you work with clients where you might feel out of depth, like you’re going around in circles, or the topics that come up tend to be “too much”, consider having a supervisor who is trauma-informed and can support you a) to recognise when a trauma-informed approach is necessary and b) can help you formulate language that’s both supportive and boundaried. #coaching #coachingsupervision #traumainformedcoaching
