Reset. Recharge. Reflect. Last week, I had the honor of holding space for the incredible entrepreneurs at Time to Raise Accelerator Program. As high achievers, we often push ourselves to the limit, constantly striving for more – but true innovation starts with you. I invited the participants to a Reset with Naima – a moment to pause, ground, and reflect. Together, we experienced a guided meditation in soothing infrared light therapy, followed by a session on the importance of fueling our bodies with the right ingredients. Through the power of superfoods and adaptogens, we can boost energy, sharpen focus, and show up as our best selves – because high performance requires balance. It’s in these small moments of resetting that we create space for our greatest ideas and breakthroughs. A healthier mind, a sharper body, and a brighter you. ✨ #ResetWithNaima #EntrepreneurWellness #InnovationStartsWithYou #naima #superfoods

Twenty years ago, leading a VC-backed acquisition, I felt a sharp pain in my chest. As a former Division I athlete, the weight I’d gained was taking a toll on my physical, mental, and spiritual health. An EKG and a warning from the doctor made it clear: if my vital signs didn’t improve, serious consequences could follow. Talking it over, a realization hit me: the pressures of work and life had left little room for my health. Time was running out. Having indigenous Mexican blood, I remembered the Tarahumara. Known as "Rarámuri" in their native language, which translates roughly to “light-footed" or "those who run fast," the Tarahumara have a remarkably low prevalence of heart disease, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. They are among the best runners in the world. Here was the spiritual inspiration I needed. Today, inspired by the Tarahumara, I run 50-60 miles a week. Running has transformed me into a better person, husband, father, and colleague. And here’s a lesson for all entrepreneurs, especially those in Latino and Black communities: you’re at higher risk for chronic diseases and conditions due to physical inactivity. Exercise is key to preventing burnout, improving focus, and maintaining motivation for long-term success. Connecting with my ancestors empowered me to take control of my health. Every morning, I remind myself: the question isn’t “Do I have time to work out today?” It’s “Do I have time NOT to work out?” My answer is clear. What’s yours? Thank you, Harry Hollines, for the reminder that my runs aren’t just about physical fitness—they’re essential for my mental and spiritual well-being, too. Leading an organization demands so much from us, and self-care often takes a backseat. But I’ve come to realize that prioritizing time for myself isn’t just beneficial—it’s essential to effective leadership. Running, for me, is a daily investment in my business. Here are the benefits I gain as an executive based in neuroscience (which you know we love to teach at the Latino Leadership Institute): - It creates new brain cells, fueling creativity and resilience. - It enhances overall brain performance, helping me stay sharp. - It boosts brain-derived proteins that support decision-making, strategic thinking, and continuous learning. - It strengthens the brain's executive functions, including attention, memory, planning, and impulse control. By carving out time for my run each day, I’m not just taking care of myself—I’m equipping myself to be a better leader. Self-care truly is a powerful business strategy. #LatinosLead

As Liam Neeson would put it: "It all ends here". Only it doesn't. It's just my chapter at Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency - HIPA that does, as it's time to explore new horizons. However, I couldn't be more proud of the past nearly 3 years given I had the privilege to be part of a wonderful community. 🔥The highlights speak for themselves. 🚀️🎧🎙The #Invest in #Hungary #podcast allowed me to talk to leading investors, senior decision makers and seasoned experts that shared key insights on #FDI trends, best practices and market outlook. 🎙The guest list is just amazing (in order of studio appearance): Giacomo Pedranzini, Veronika Špaňárová, Didi Caldwell, John Ford, Steven Lynum, BCMAS, bela molnar, Martin Brettenthaler, Joerg Bergmann and Robert Keszte. I simply loved every second, whether we met in person or virtually! 🎙Our scripted special editions covered #automotive trends featured at IAA MOBILITY, the global #battery race and the state of play of the #BSC sector, featuring Agnes Szunomar, Bob Galyen, Robert Dominko, Thore Sekkenes, Péter Kaderják, Zoltan Szabo, Fadi Shadeh and Istvan Lenk. Again, such memorable and insightful encounters! ▶️Our #HIPA #Stories series unveiled ✂what's behind that ribbon-cutting✂ by looking into the operation of key members of the local #investor #community. These on-site visits were crucial to bring the outside world closer to what the day-to-day running of HIPA-guided projects actually looks like. ⚡Again, I got the chance to chat with fantastic professionals such as Marton Oltvai, Francios Bandura, Tamas Szamko, Charles W., Förhécz Krisztina, CFA, Gabor Pongracz, Akos Garaba. Thank you so much for your hospitality and all those insights! 💡These conversations revealed just 📌how much #affection foreign investors developed for our country, 📌how much #value is created in the investment process, 📌what tremendous #impact these projects have on the Hungarian economy, and 📌how local communities, even in the most remote corners of the country, benefit. 💡To me the latter aspect is of the greatest significance since all these investments promoted by the Agency provide ▶️a true perspective for a large number of people▶️, thus help them prosper in the long run. 🚀Apart from all that, I was honored to ▶️draft CEO speeches for key gatherings and ▶️moderate #roundtable #discussions at HIPA's #automotive and #BSC flagship events which were all unforgettable moments for me. 🙏Thank you all for your great contributions and support!🙏 ☄️See you around, and if you need an #event #host, #podcaster or #content #creator, let's work together! 💥The show must go on.💥

Today, on the Day of the Bulgarian National Revival Leaders, we honor those who preserved our spirit, values, and drive for progress. Leaders like Paissius of Hilendar, Hristo Botev, and Ivan Vazov shaped our national identity, expanding horizons and motivating generations to pursue greater heights. 🇧🇬 This legacy of resilience and innovation continues, and there's no better place to see it in action than at Start Up, Bulgaria from November 8-10th in Sofia. This national startup conference is bringing together entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators through workshops, hackathons, and over 50 sessions to fuel Bulgaria's growth as a tech powerhouse. Huge thanks to the visionary organizers Oggy V. and Vilislav Slavev for making this event a reality. Their mission is clear: show the world that Bulgaria has everything it takes to become the "Silicon Valley of Europe". On November 10th, I'm excited to be part of a panel hosted by Nikolay Vasev, alongside Milena Georgieva, and Federico Acosta. We'll dive into the real-life challenges of applying AI in healthcare - like data access, privacy issues, and finding responsible ways to drive innovation forward. At Kelvin Health, we're tackling these exact challenges by leveraging Thermography AI to make healthcare more accessible, efficient, and impactful. My co-founder and CEO, Georgi Kadrev, will also be speaking that day at 10 AM with a session titled "Turning Crisis into Opportunity: Scaling a Business Through Innovation." He'll share insights on how innovative thinking can transform crises into opportunities for growth, using real-world examples from Kelvin Health's journey in tackling health challenges. If you're planning to attend, come find us, and let's connect! This is the perfect chance to share ideas, build connections, and get inspired by Bulgaria's growing potential in the global tech scene.

My favorite Led Zeppelin song is "Immigrant Song." It was written in Iceland during their 1970 tour, and the first two lines always resonate with me: We come from the land of the ice and snow From the midnight sun where the hot springs flow Robert Plant was inspired by Icelanders' resourcefulness and resilience. As someone born and raised in Iceland, I have plenty of that spirit. I moved to the US at the age of 20, bringing with me that same Icelandic resourcefulness and resilience. These qualities have guided me through my entrepreneurial journey. Our NØRSE CØDE manifesto begins with a nod to Zeppelin: From the land of ice and snow, channeling ancient Nordic tales, merging with today’s advanced science, bridging the past and present—our promise is clear: elevate your whole body health. Nourish. Thrive. Conquer. Just like my fellow Icelanders who inspired Plant, I believe in pushing forward, no matter the challenges. Check out what we’re doing at getnorsecode.com and nordicnavigators.com. Let's nourish, thrive, and conquer together. #LedZeppelin #Iceland #Resourcefulness #Resilience #NorseCode #PlantProtein #Sustainability #Wellness #Health #Innovation #Entrepreneurship #StartupLife

When I first arrived in Lisbon, I knew almost no one. Yet, the city (and the sun!) welcomed me with open arms. That was enough for a little bit, but I started loving living here when I started building a community. A big part of that? Joining the female founders community SheSapiens . Starting with small groups and breakfasts, I've seen this community develop into the multi-national group of inspirational women it is now. I've found such great friends through this group, and have learned so much through the informal discussions, the masterclasses, and really, any of their events. Now, I'm thrilled to give back to this incredible community! I'll be hosting a 4-week online Masterclass focused on "Mindset". Here's what we'll cover: 1️⃣ Identifying and overcoming self-sabotaging thoughts 2️⃣ Activating inner wisdom and creativity through powerful techniques 3️⃣ Building mental fitness using science-backed methods 4️⃣ Boosting performance and reducing stress in all areas of life 5️⃣ Improving relationships with enhanced emotional intelligence This Masterclass is more than just learning – it's about transformation. It's an opportunity to elevate your mindset, reduce stress, and change how you show up in the world, both personally and professionally. To my fellow female founders in Lisbon (and beyond): Who's ready to level up their mindset with me? #FemaleFounders #MindsetMastery #LisbonStartups #WomenInBusiness #PersonalGrowth #PositiveIntelligence

In our latest In Search of Greatness episode, Hannah Kathleen (Miss International Europe 2024) and Sunil Savara had the privilege of hosting Arun Maira, former Member of the Planning Commission of India and a global authority on systems transformation. His depth of thought and commitment to creating a harmonious world left us deeply inspired. One idea stood out like a beacon: The power of localized solutions. Amidst global challenges—climate change, inequities, and social conflicts—Arun Maira underscores that the answers aren’t one-size-fits-all. Instead, they lie in empowering small, local communities to take charge of their own unique circumstances. 🌱✨ He eloquently ties this to Gandhi’s principle: true change begins not from a centralized system, but within small, self-reliant communities. This isn’t just a moral philosophy—it’s a scientific imperative, as the diversity of challenges in every region requires tailored solutions. ➡️ Watch the episode to discover how localized efforts can ignite a ripple effect of transformation: https://zurl.co/aYA4 Let’s spark a conversation: How can we contribute to solving global problems through local action in our own neighborhoods and workplaces? #Leadership #SystemsThinking #LocalSolutions #InSearchOfGreatness

I had a totally different post for Rosh Hashanah ready to go yesterday… and then, it became completely irrelevant... Thanks to Iran and its vicious missile attack on Israel. As we head to our dinner table this evening to celebrate Rosh Hashanah and the Jewish new year, many thoughts are crossing my mind... I think about the wide-reaching impact of October 7th on the world we live in, and how devastating it is for so many people in Israel and the entire Middle East. I think about the hostages and their families. The young people losing their lives at the Nova music festival… and our brave soldiers protecting our country. And yes…. the suffering on the other side as well. The saying “we live in an imperfect world”, couldn’t be truer now. But I’m also optimistic about the future, and grateful for the unconditional trust and support I’m getting from the 97212 family - our amazing LPs, our resilient founders, my phenomenal partners who I learn from every day, and our entire tech ecosystem. If we needed any more proof that Israelis, and Israeli founders in particular are made differently, we saw it in full display over these past 12 months. The future is bright, and there is no doubt in my mind that we’re going to see a lot of new innovation and a ton of success stories forming over the coming years. Technology will keep moving forward... But it’s the level of execution that separates Israeli startups from the rest of their peers. They excel at that. With the Jewish new year upon us, I wish everyone a year of peace, a year of health, success, creativity and new beginnings. I can’t wait to back more Israeli founders as we continue to build 97212 Ventures from the ground up, and hope for better days for all of us. Shana Tova. #newyear #israelunderfire #venturecapital

Founder Daily Garboos - The Algorithms of life journal & podcast: wellbeing made attractive & attainable
1wHow we fuel our bodies through food (and the right fika), as well as feed our mind and soul is truly both connected and connected to our wellbeing and our results. It's so simple it sounds stupid, and maybe that is the reason we often complicate it.
