🌟 Journey Through the Big Oh Tech SDE Hiring Process 🌟 Excited to share my recent experience interviewing for the Software Development Engineer (SDE) role at Big Oh Tech! This journey has been both challenging and enriching, providing me with a deeper understanding of my skills and areas for growth. Here's a quick breakdown of the process: 1️⃣ Round 1: Coding Challenges The first coding round involved solving two intense problems. The first was on bit manipulation, pushing me to think creatively and optimize my solution. The second was a real-time situation problem requiring a greedy approach—a true test of applying algorithms to real-world scenarios. 2️⃣ Round 2: Object-Oriented Design This round focused on OOP design principles, where I had the chance to demonstrate my approach to designing systems with scalability and efficiency in mind. 3️⃣ Tech Stack & Interest Discussion Next up was a deep dive into the tech stacks I’ve worked with and my other interests, providing an opportunity to align my skills and passions with Big Oh Tech's vision. 4️⃣ Final Formal Discussion Wrapping up with a formal discussion gave insight into the culture and expectations at Big Oh Tech, rounding off a holistic view of what it would be like to work with such an innovative team. Through each stage, I gained a lot of insight and motivation to continue honing my skills. Below is a list of companies that offer a base salary of 10L+ to SDE 1 and most of them offer 20L+ base salary to SDE 2, as per Glassdoor, LeetCode, and AmbitionBox. Recently appeared for interview process for SDE-2 position at Uber and here’s my interview experience- The first round was a screening round and it was an elimination round. 🔸SCREENING ROUND- This was a problem solving round based on Data Structures and Algorithms and this involved medium level difficulty problems. There was a problem based on stacks, a follow-up question and discussion on time and space complexity. After clearing the screening round, there were 5 ROUNDS, and none of them were elimination rounds. 🔸PROBLEM SOLVING ROUND- This was again a problem solving round based on Data Structures and Algorithms and this time the difficulty level of problems was hard. There was a problem based on dynamic programming, a few follow-up questions and discussion on time and space complexity as well. 🔸MACHINE CODING ROUND- This had a problem based on low level design. I had to write executable code. 🔸HLD ROUND- This is quite self-explanatory and the discussion was about the high level design of a system. Had a detailed discussion about the design choices and my reasons behind them. 🔸FRONT-END MACHINE CODING- I was asked to design a fully-functional front end application with a few given requirements and functionalities in real-time. I used HTML, CSS, and JS to design the same. 🔸HIRING MANAGER ROUND- This was basically a discussion about the impact that I’ve created in my previous organisation and what all projects I’ve worked upon. This was also a culture fit round where they assessed how well I fit into Uber’s culture. The interview process was quite smooth and took approx 2 weeks and I got the offer!
