How are people experimenting with #genAI? A recent study published in #HBR highlights the usages beyond corporate settings. Top 5 includes idea generation, search, and providing editorial insights. Notably, the list also includes usage for law, medicine and coding. While the appeal of using genAI to these expensive services is evident, not sure how well the associated risks are understood. https://lnkd.in/eMD5dP9k #AI

Bias, whether #racialbias or #implicitbias, is problematic in #healthcare. It's a known issue that may only become further entrenched or widespread through #artificialintelligence tools. Recognizing the limitations in datasets and other sources is part of beginning to address the issue. Further efforts will also need to focus on what existing procedures or standards do not reflect all #patient interests. While those are the broad issues, focusing on AI and the development of AI is also essential. It is fully acknowledged that it is very easy to make that statement and quite difficult in practice to account for and tackle. How many are taking those challenges head on? https://lnkd.in/eaw-rMZz

Artificial Intelligence is transforming the delivery of services in many fields, including healthcare services. On Friday, July 19, at VBA’s annual summer meeting, Woods Rogers attorney Liz Heddleston spoke on a panel that explored how AI is currently being used in healthcare and where it is expected to go. She discussed common legal issues raised by having healthcare treatment delivered by AI. Courts are already deciding cases challenging the use of AI in healthcare, and regulators are grappling with how to regulate it. Have questions on the use of AI in healthcare?
