Join Us in Celebrating Water Positive Day:
On June 17th, join us for the global celebration of "Water Positive Day." June 17th is traditionally observed as the Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. This day often highlights the dire consequences of climate change and water scarcity with images of dry landscapes and apocalyptic scenarios. While it's crucial to acknowledge these challenges, we believe in the power of visualization to inspire change and drive action.
As we approach a global population expansion to 10 billion by 2050, the demand for freshwater will increase dramatically. Water Positive practices are crucial for meeting health, safety, security, and sustainability demands.
The Water Positive initiative focuses on ensuring the return of more water to the environment than consumed by industrialization and human consumption, fostering a resilient and sustainable future.
What We Aim to:
1. Highlighting Innovative Solutions: Showcasing technologies and practices that help achieve Water Positive goals such as;
• Ecosystem restoration
• Water conservation
• Non-revenue water reduction
• Aquifer recharge
• Desalination water purification and reuse
2. Inspire collective action towards a sustainable future:
• Educating and advising industries, financial institutions, universities, and governments on water conservation practices, resource management, and water generation approaches.
• Participate in and promote lectures and conferences promoting the water-positive agenda.
• Supporting Water Positive exchange to expand resource availability to expand available water resources.
Join us in the First Water Positive Day on June 17th, 2024.
